Seems to me that accommodations should have been made for ALL of Bobby's children. At least the ones he had before he married Whitney. She was their step-mother for 15+ years.

I thought there were only two that she was a stepmother to?

E!'s coverage better than BET's. E! sticking with single screen.

I watched E's version. Theirs were way better... the commentary was AFTER the funeral and even in the commentary it was in very good taste and at a minimum.

I was exactly quite impressed

I heard she was real close to Landon, LaPrincia and Bobby, Jr. I think in one of the pictures, I saw Bobby and Bobby, Jr. (who looks like the younger Bobby in his heyday without the Gumby cut) outside.

Bobby Brown is a shitty mess and has no class. As a long, long time fan of Whitney, I'm not surprised. When Whitney was alived, he had her dim her light to shine attention on him and even in death, he's doing the same.

If police asks you to move, freaking move, it's not about you, it's Whitney's day. If you have a 3 guest invite, why bring 9 people and most of Bobby's kids has either dissed whtiney publicly

Landon, sold her out to the tabloids with some obogus story

BobbyJr dissed her on twitter

Whitney had these kids all over the world with her on tour, paid child support for them and they sold her out.

No love for any of them.

Aretha- not surprise. Whitney has always shown Aretha love, give her respect, loved her and what does Aretha do, cancel. Whatever, I've over her!

He had three. Bobby, Jr. was born around the time Bobby and Whitney were getting married.

I thought that was a rumor but looks to be true ... that is a mess. He should not have even showed up with ALL those people... just should have brought himself...

and on Aretha what was the real reason why she didnt attend?

Hi Babynoz,

Rev. Jackson was sitting behind, we could hardly see his face. Who were the people left and right to him? Was this his family?

I don't recall who was next to Jesse, maybe Ottie remembers?

Why are they all Winans? I thought this is a family name?

No joke, that is their name and there are a whole bunch of them.

I also wanna know who this blonde woman sitting by the piano was, what's her role in a set up like this?

Not sure.

Aretha has a concert tonight.

Someone on Whitney's forum said they felt negative vibes when Gary Houston and Pat Houston gave their eulogies.

Why, whitney and bobby divorced over 6 years ago and just about each of bobby's children has dissed her or sold her out to the tabloids even his sister Tina sold her out to the Enquier. His mother, RIP went on tv and called Cissy Houston the devil.

The brown family is a mess. They werent' missed at the homecoming and any real fan of whtiney knows this.

I don't know. Something about Aretha... I don't think Aretha and Whitney's family was as close as they lead on. Dionne keeps talking about Aretha as a sister but I never known of Cissy to bring her up. Someone said that she and Cissy had beef and it wouldn't surprise me if Aretha was jealous of her goddaughter's success.

Damn, you think so? confuse

At this stage of the game I think that's just silly and presuming waaay too much. Aretha Franklin has said herself in interviews and concerts in wake of Whitney's passing that her God daughter was the greatest singer to ever step before a microphone. martini

From the few clips I did see of Aretha in interviews this past week, I saw a woman who was eloquent & strong but clearly upset, and was very open that she didn't know if she would have the strength to sing at her God daughter's funeral. If anything, I would imagine that after what she's been saying this week that she simply is grieving and simply couldn't manage it, and hell, I even forgive her for it... besides, it's between her and the Houston family, and it's their slight to forgive, really (if there's anything to forgive in the first place). shrug

Cissy's message to her late daughter:

I never told you that when you were born, the Holy Spirit told me that you would not be with me long. And I thank God for the beautiful flower he allowed me to raise and cherish for 48 years.

Rest, my baby girl in peace.

Signed, Mommie

Sorry if Aretha's statement was already posted but here we go (free2befreeda posted the news column of her saying this):

"Regretfully, I am so sorry that I was unable to be with you at Whitney's service today. I had every intention of being there. But unfortunately I had terrible leg spasms and locked leg muscles until 4:00AM this morning following my concert last night, which I've been having for the last few days. I feel it necessary and very important to stay off my leg today as much as possible until concert time this evening. My heart goes out to my dear friend Cissy, Dionne, Bobbi Kristina and the rest of the family. May God keep them all."

Aretha & the Franklin Family

I don't want to say Eff Aretha but lady please, you could have sat in a chair for half of the ceremony and wore ted stockings. Your fans would have understood, how many times do you get to send off your god daughter.

No class! Not surprised, lost a tone of respect for her.

I'd been more understanding if she was invited to attend and told people that she couldn't because it was too painful. Much like Diana with Michael and have someone read a statement from her. The fact that that didn't happen with Aretha spoke volumes to me. It also seemed like no one knew she wasn't there. confused

imo Aretha's very sassy. After seeing her on the Wendy Williams show, i accessed her to "speak her mind, hold back no punches, and don't give a heck" what others think of her.

She's going to be 70yrs on March 25th. yup, i do feel she's in a ego colored bubble and could care less if you "like it or not! she feels she's made her bones, if you will.

nod

Trust me whtiney fans have said this for years. Whitney was such a kind and giving person. Always telling other female singers to go, she would give them shine based on her name even though she didn't have to, never a jealous bone as P Diddy said this week.

Aretha has a history of being shady with Whitney compliments. She would give some love and then sprinkle in some shame or never really commit without some shade. This final act is just par for the course.

The difference with Diana and MJ was that they hadn't been in contact for years but even still Diana gave a reasonable explanation. Aretha is a long time friend of hte Houstons and she was in regular contact with Whitney.

No damn excuse but this day is about Whitney. I'll talk about Aretha later. Even though I'm sad she's gone, I'm happy that she isn't here for the tabloids to rip into her and tell lies about her that everyone believed without even checking to see if the story was true.

I don't remember who was sitting around Jesse. Wasn't that interested.

The blond woman is one of Whitney's former MD's (music directors) who plays keys and piano in her bands. She's been around almost as long as Ricky Minor, but it's late over here and her name escapes me at the moment. Jewish..but can't get the anme off the tip of the tongue, and hubby is falling asleep so I bored can't ask him
