LOVED LOVED the LKL hair. That second pic looks like how I was wearing my hair when I was in college... in 1995. It looks incredibly dated. Her hairstyle on LKL was fresh and edgy. Looks like it may be the same cut, just styled differently?

i dressed up as michael jackson.. and everyone thought i was janet jackson....
what was so funny about the key in earring... that was actually so cute.... i couldn't keep that long in my earring cause i have small ears and like that was hurting.. and probably would have stretched my earring hole...
its always fun dressing up as MJ/JJ cause they have so many iconic ensembles..

He didn't say she stole it. He said they would think alike and she was inspired by Captain EO and did Rhythm Nation and asked him if it was okay to use elements from EO "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I may be on the few that would prefer if they NOT work together I have a feeling P would take it and take full control, and make it HIS song instead of making it THEIRS "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

can someone post the singles and peak chart positions for songs from the Velvet Rope.
here's my attempt
Got Til It's Gone (top 10 R & B?) Together Again (#1 Dance and Pop) I Get Lonely (#1 R & B) Go Deep (top 10 R & B & Pop?) You (top 20 pop & R & B?) Every Time (top 20 pop?)
not sure if this is the correct order, but i'm only guessing as to how they did. i do know Together Again hit #1

I've never seen this picture. She looks so beautiful here. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

is it true that she never had a number 1 hit in the uk?

Her highest charting was #2 with That's The Way Love Goes and The Best Things In Life Are Free "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Beautiful indeed! It's from the RN tourbook, and it was one of her best looks in my opinion.

She DID have one #1 album in the UK (janet.)

These are new to me, too. Yes, she looks great here. I also love her look during "janet" era and she looked absolutely stunning in "Love Will Never Do Without You" video. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

yeah I did MJ for most of the time but even if I did JJ, I ALWAYS got MJ, no one can stop that even if I don't haha I used to wear fedoras but I don't as much now, I like caps like Damita Jo style
And yeah I love that key and those hoops, wore hoops for the longest time but stopped. My cousin was just an obnoxious girl who couldn't get away with styles like that and felt she had to look "proper" all the time instead of fun.

I'm curious to know who she has plans to work with for the new album once her tour is over. I have a feeling Jimmy and Terry will be in the mix. [Edited 2/23/11 10:31am] "Get up off that grey line"

These would be my favourites. I´ve never liked crazy, eccentric looks. I think she's the most beautiful when natural and feminine. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

And I think she's totally stunning in this interview. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Feb. 22, 2011 from New York Post.com:
New video from Janet Jack...a MUST-see
I'm gonna go ahead and get this out now, so people can start emailing me with fits of rage -- Janet Jackson concerts are one, if not the only, you-better-not-miss-this concerts in the world.
Period.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good Robyn show, I love me a good Britney Spears set and I am a major fan every time Vampire Weekend, Miike Snow or Friendly Fires come to town. But the one gigantic, brilliant, on-point show that I will never miss is a Janet show.
To prove my point to the fullest, check out this newly posted clip below of Janet in Hong Kong performing "Doesn't Really Matter" from one of the first stops on her "Number Ones: Up Close & Personal" world tour.
Side note: Janet is 44 years old people ... frikin' brilliant! --Ryan Brockington
