No, he was not. Here's why. When everyone in your family keeps asking for money and more money and money and more money, keeps sueing you for money, keeps deceiving you for money, keeps harassing you for money, making schemes on your back for money, blackmailing you for money and more money and even more money, things aren't that easy. Ohh, and when your family keeps signing deals and getting sued for millions (which the siblings and Joe did on a daily basis) the money can never be enough. That's the problem: a billion dollars wasn't enough for them. They want more and more and more and more.

Once again, and just to end the discussion, Michael should have run away from home when he was 18. He should have gone to another country FAR AWAY from his family. And, mainly, he should have had a tougher fist. Now, go read what they did to Michael all their lives (and stop by what Randy and Joe continuously did to him...try not to get too shocked) and you will realize that he was around sharks. Oh, and he was the blood.

Just one more thing: a 40 years old guy doesn't sleep with kids just because yes, right? There has to be a reason as to why he does that. Or that guy is a paedophile or he had an abnormal upbringing. There has to be a reason. A person doesn0t start sleeping with kids and doing kiddie shit with them just because yes. Think about it and lots of your supposedly rethoric question will be answered. And, and yes, this time is not MJ's fault. A 5 years old kid can't run away from home. Just a hint. This time, the questions are on your side.

And let's be realistic here: you should be smart enough not to compare Lisa to the guy's family. It would be laughable if it wasn't so stupid. Lisa should not be compared to the family, period. Just like her intentions should not be compared to the family's. It's a totally diferent thing. The fam should NEVER EVER be compared to Lisa. Michael's situation with her was totally different from his situation with the family.
[Edited 2/18/10 3:15am]

U know what- fine, u win. shrug

I agree that he wouldve been bigger and better without his loser brothers weighing him down. I also dont think staying with his brothers wouldve kept him sane or normal at all. He was well on his way to insanity by 1984, when he was still lviing with his parents and touring with his brothers. He had already fucked up his face and was hangin with too many kids by then, and he was still at Havenhurst! So- no- his family wouldn't have stopped from going into the deep end.

U will never see me defend the family. Jermaine, LaToya, Randy, Joe, and most disturbingly- Katherine- did him wrong. But its done now, and he's dead. Theres no point gettin mad at them now. He left his kids with his momma, so he couldnt have been too worried about it himself. What r u gonna do about it, anyway? If they get to his money, and rob his kids, r u gonna go stop them? Nope.

...OK, I'm done talkin about it now. neutral
[Edited 2/18/10 5:56am]

Well, I'm not going to do shit. Why? Because I don't care if the family is going to rob those kids or not. What I do care about is Michael's legacy and Joe, with his lies and, mainly, Latoya, with her OUTRAGEOUS lies and claims, aren't helping it. The money? I sure am not having headaches over it! The family, though, is. And they will try EVERYTHING in order to have it on their hands. Like dogs when confronted with food, they will start wars among everyone who happens to have a dime. They will betray each other, lie to each other, kill each other...just for money. Not my problem though. In fact, I may waste some minutes of my life ranting about these animals, but I sure don't spend a dime on them. And these mess is turning me off with MJ.

So, unless someone praises this family while viciously attacking Michael and I have time to spend with such futilities, you won't see one of my posts with their name. As if I gave a fuck about abusers, low-lives and sex addicts who abandone their own kids and make their brother/son's life a living hell to get a dime from him.

I can dig it, but broadcasting your marital frustration and woes to the world, and making it everybody's business was an unwise move. MJ kept his mouth shut, so why can't she.

Diane Sawyer is the one I had a problem with. confused I can't stand her disrespectful attitude when talking about Michael. That video above is a perfect example, with her trying to provoke Lisa into saying negative comments about him. When I was little watching these interviews, I always wanted to throw a cream pie in Sawyer's face. Just SPLAT. lol

To be fair to LMP - the interview with Diane Sawyer was when she was doing the rounds promoting her album. Thus her saying "I thought you were going to ask me first". This snippet makes it look like she was giving an interview just on Michael when it wasn't the case.

I love that weird waistcoat/shirt combo he wore in the Invincible booklet photoshoot, even if it does look like he's sporting a swastika.

He couldn't have got any bigger. He was at his ultimate peak with Thriller. In his last 20 years of life, he was exclusively solo and yet he only did 3 and half albums in those years, and quite frankly I personally don't think that was his best work.

He was actually at his most creative during the time he was working simultaneously with his brothers and as a solo artist i.e between 78 and 82. It is the first 20 years of his career, which actually made him legendary as a musician. Albums like Destiny and Triumph which he co-wrote and co-produced with his brothers may not have sold as much as Dangerous or Bad, but I personally believe they are better albums than his latter, solo material. Many of those songs have become pure classics. Without those Jackson 5/ Jacksons coupled with OTW and Thriller albums MJ life would have been exclusively about tabloid fodder, which is what his life became when he completely detached himself from the Jacksons.

/\ agreed. I've long said that "Triumph" is MJ's vocal AND songwriting peak.

I consider it to be more representative of MJ than, for example, "Off The Wall" because MJ wrote more of the songs on it, and was more involved in the production also.

So the fact that Bad and Dangerous sold 30 million copies means nothin? eek HIStory being the biggest selling double album by a solo artist also means nothin? HIStory being the most attended solo tour of all time never happened? So he did absolutely nothin but appear in tabloids for the past (according to u) 25 years? Damn, I wonder how he found time to eat, so busy appearing in all these tabloids! eek

I know u like his early stuff before he turned into a white freak, yeah, yeah. But u should check out sales and chart stats before making such ignorant statements. confused

One of the things many people overlook with History was that it was his truly most personal. He confronts the issues swirling around him like never before. He is more open, more raw and more personally invested in these songs that he had been before and since.

For what it is worth (remember Jermaine said this)

Janet makes up the numbers for Jackson 5's Aussie tour

LITTLE sister Janet will finally join her big brothers in The Jackson 5 for a world tour this year, according to chief family spokesman Jermaine.

With Foxtel talent and media types at hot spot Tokonomo, after a hard day spruiking The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, the singer told Confidential the family had a conference call on Tuesday morning to discuss future plans.

When asked if the Jackson 5 would ever grace Australian shores again, Jermaine insisted the tour plans were well under way.

"And Janet will be joining us. We're all talking about it now," he told music editor Kathy McCabe. "She has never played with us before so that will be very special. She definitely wants to do it."

Janet was originally going to join the family reunion shows scheduled for last year but the tour was canned because Michael didn't want to join his brothers, preferring to go ahead with his own This Is It concert tour.

With her own recording career in limbo after the lacklustre performance of her 2008 record Discipline, Janet and her brothers would enjoy a significant career boost touring as a family after Michael's death.

Jermaine said they may even use Michael's This Is It stage. "We own it," he said.

Jermaine, 55, put up his hand for a ticket to fellow American touring star Rihanna's cocktail party at Ivy on Monday night.

He was overheard saying he hoped to persuade Rihanna to join a Michael Jackson tribute show he is trying to organise later in the year. No word to date on how well his request was received by the star, who spent the party locked up tight with her posse in a corner, ignoring fellow guests.

Source: http://www.dailytelegraph...5831537723

*IF* jermaine said this, he is delusional, even more so than usual.

1. 'we' do not own 'this is it'. mj's estate *may* own it, and i'm sure that it's probably in connection with aeg. i doubt that aeg or the estate would give their consent to such nonsense. where does he get this 'we' crap?

2. i see now that mj's gone, he's trying to latch himself and the brothers onto their little sister. pitiful. remember how he was always promising that mj would join his brothers onstage? janet may have told larry king that she would love to open for her brothers, but that was with mj onboard. without him, she would be the headliner, wouldn't she? do you think that her brothers, who were once headliners in their own right, would be satisfied with being an opening act?

3. i'm pretty sure he did say this b/c it sound like something he would say.

I have to agree as well and I really don’t like getting into the favorite Era’s thing because sometimes the fans take it seriously but I have to say my favorite era is off the wall/triumph , usually when I’m listening to Michael it’s the albums before bad at times. Even though my favorite two albums are Off the wall and Dangerous but I have to be in the mood to listen to history etc I don’t know lol.. I think it has a lot to do with because I was born in the bad era so I didn’t get to experience The jacksons to thriller (which I feel are his best years)But I love songs from each era though i'm just Leaning more toward 1980 lol
