Well aware, but these are still live vocals, edited or not.

the video is no indication of whether or not he could still actually sing at all if the vocals have been edited.

just because they're live doesn't mean they haven't been gone over with a fine toothed comb to make them sound just so, to appease the masses who don't want to see that their hero has gone straight to shit.

also, i'm sick of people who only like mj because he's dead. seriously, i know SO MANY PEOPLE who were fucking complaining about him the day he died, and once they found out he was gone, they were all "FUCK I LOVED HIM SO MUCH!!!111one"

Well, I don't fall into the latter part of your post, so let's just talk about the vocals.

It's possible they were heavily edited, but I doubt it. The guy has sang Human Nature live an awful lot, so it's not a stretch to think he sounded decent. I highly doubt they did any editing that isn't common for any type of official release of literally any artist.

you guys DO realize that all of these performances/rehearsals were edited during post-processing.

As is the case with practically every live DVD any artist releases.

With the countless testimonies from various producers and collaboraters over the years who talk about his near pitch-perfect tone, I hardly believe they had to do a lot of work.

And you can't manufacture soul in an editing suite. And there is plenty of soul in his vocals here.
