this doesn't surprise me one bit at all. You see the majority of people that bitch, moan, talk shit and hate on MJ are white...American and males. White American males. I noticed this and seen it time and time again. Majority of the rumours have been started by white people...skin bleaching, whether or not his kids are his biological kids etc.You see the majority of the media in the US is white and that's why the news on him when he was alive was soooo bad. I noitced this when he first died, BET was honoring his talent and music while other white channels were just talking about the controversary. White America can get over it. No use to call me a racist because I am white. White America needs to realize that they are celebrating him as an incredible entertainer, singer, music artist, dancer and humanitrian not his personal life. So I know you are bitter about all the positive attention Michael is receiving but really you need to move on. [Edited 10/1/09 13:52pm]

He did lypsynch on his last two tours, trying to compensate that with choreography and 'fireworks' (little kids, video-screens, masks, other nonsense). I REALLY don't get why you keep defending MJ for offering detached, prefabricated fake live-shows. I guess that JUST because you grow up with the guy being a succesfull afro-american is enough for your defense, right? you have already been reported. Are you 5 years old? No Candy 4 Me

First, Princes musical legacy in the eighties is much bigger and more important then that of MJ of course. Second, i am not obsessed with it. For me its not about MJ vs Prince or visa versa at all. I have a very broad taste of music, and get rather annoyed by black americans whining about that issue, when there are so many other artists whose music I dig. To be honest, the constant whining here about MJ, Janet Jackson, El Debarge and Rick James is pathetic. You keep being obsessed with artists from the past, just because they have seem to 'coloured' your afro-american or gay life, while ignoring all the great artists (black, white, yellow) that came after them. Michael's voice as far as male vocalists go, is the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. It's pure, crystal clear, emotional and passionate. I am talking now about ballads only. He is the male version of Barbara Streisand & Lea Salonga for example. Whatever he's singing about, you feel. Riverpoet, you say Prince's "if I was your girlfriend" is a deep song. Personally, I would say he has deeper ones than that. This is about Michael though. Are you comparing "if i was your girlfriend" to "stranger in moscow" or to me the deepest song Michael ever wrote "Speechless" saying "if I was girlfriend is deeper? I don't care what people say about MJ in the rehearsal or at live concerts. Michael's end product were perfection. In the stuff I've heard at concerts he sounded just as good live. Michael is artistically pure too in the sounds and effects he put into songs. Sometimes completely simplistic! But that's what makes the song beautiful. Sometimes they are not simplistic, they are dramatic but powerful. If you think Michael couldn't compose or put music together, play the Invincible piano book. Some songs there are just pure perfection. Why does EVERYONE in this world compare Michael's later work to Thriller????? It's as if Thriller became a cross for Michael to bear. I have more to say about songs and lyrics of Micahel's but I'm tired, so for now I'll finish off with this. Michael was a vulnerable person who sang about vulnerable things. It was exactly this, that made the world all in love with him over and over again. He never used his sexuality to sell his music. He hardly sang about sex and love. He never needed to "act" sexy, he just was sexy. He appealed to women because he was particularly soft, gentle and caring with his lyrics and songs. About female companions. When very single woman in the world is in love with you, do you think it's easy to find someone, who'll just love you for being you? When every household in the world knows your name, do you think you can be "normal?" In 1998 I think, Michael also became a single father. In the last 11 years therefore he has raising 3 kids. When people talk about the amount of production being a little, remember Michael was a star child. He'd been in the business longer than anyone really. And if you want to know what was closer to his heart than the music world. Listen to his music. You don't have to like him. But the least you can do is understand him. He's not really "dancing" though. He's just sort of feeling the music. I can't understand why people are picking the shit out of this tiny rehearsal clip. Wait until the film and the DVD comes out and then you'll probably get a better glimpse of the bigger picture. Even then though, he probably wouldn't be going all out, seeing as he was a fantastic dancer in 1991 but the Dangerous tour rehearsals, he wasn't dancing all that much, just singing live.

I'm not Black, American or gay but what does that have to do with the price of cheese? I think it's a big pity you bring colour into the equation. Music is colour blind and we are all human beings, albeit sometimes I wonder.... The MJ fans are not whining. We are protecting Michael's legacy against people who wish to talk him down at every opportunity they get. People who taint his talent with foul, disgusting language and idiotic thought. "Michael couldn't dance, Michael couldn't sing..." etc etc. I suppose sometimes "ignorance really is bliss." May I ask how can you say we're ignoring all other great artists? How do you know, what you base your facts on? Your river is not poetic Riverpoet. Cuz Michael doesn't dance that way, even in the Dangerous rehearsals. So? As I said, he's not really dancing here, he just did one crazy-looking move. He's probably done things like it or other crazy little moves throughout his years of rehearsing. They say he even moves in the studio when recording.

oh lawd.
you guys DO realize that all of these performances/rehearsals were edited during post-processing, because it was going to be released anyway for his "comeback" thing? it was to make him look good. that's not to say he wasn't actually good, but you never know, given that it WAS in fact edited prior to the release. let us enjoy ourselves, this rhythm is ill. i want to sit on your penis

the video is no indication of whether or not he could still actually sing at all if the vocals have been edited. just because they're live doesn't mean they haven't been gone over with a fine toothed comb to make them sound just so, to appease the masses who don't want to see that their hero has gone straight to shit. also, i'm sick of people who only like mj because he's dead. seriously, i know SO MANY PEOPLE who were fucking complaining about him the day he died, and once they found out he was gone, they were all "FUCK I LOVED HIM SO MUCH!!!111one" let us enjoy ourselves, this rhythm is ill. i want to sit on your penis
