They interviewed Justin Timberlake and asked a few Madonna questions. Hollywood Daily People: You worked on Madonna’s new album with Timbaland. In what direction did you take her? Justin Timberlake: Basically, our job was to reinvent her sound. My thing was producing her vocals – really experimenting with rhythm. Everything she does with rhythm is straightforward. What I do is more staccato and R&B. So the challenge for me was writing songs, then saying, “How can I make this sound more like Madonna?” I’m a big fan of her first album. So my mission was to write a modern-day “Holiday.” I wrote a cool house record for her called “Miles Away” that I think is a smash! She sounds great on it. The Observer----exclusive preview of Madonna's new album
It doesn't have a title yet,but the direction of Madonna's new album,her last major release before she turns 50,seems clear: the Barbour-wearing Queen of Pop is hitting the street.Two of the three tracks we heard in an exclusive playback boasts productions from the biggest beatmakers in hip-hop.Timbaland evidently reserves his best work for the highest-paying customers because lead single "4 Minutes To Save The World" is a mighty effort,powered by superhero horns,ticking clocks and Justin Timberlake's falsetto.On "Candy Shop",a sticky clutch of not-so-subtle innuendos ("Come into my store/I've got candy galore") is traded over a snappy Pharrell Williams beat."Give It To Me" slinks into more familiar dance/pop territory,but the chatter behind this album suggests that R&B and hip-hop will be its main flavors.Not a revolutionary move for Madonna,but at least she's working with the right people. | |

Our friend and DJ James from madonna-tv.com informs us that promos with remixed versions of Madonna's new single "4 Minutes To Save The World" are set to arrive to DJs in the U.K. An email he got yesterday from the Music House DJ promo mailing list says: Yes,it's nearly that time again,for us to deliver the new offering from the Queen of all things POP! Madonna's latest release sees her teaming up with Mr.Smooth himself Justin Timberlake on "Four Minutes To Save The World".As with all Madonnna tracks,we are being kept in the dark as to who is providing the remixes on the package,but as soon as we know,you'll know! James expects the remix to arrive in a few weeks."They only usually email like this when the promos are a few weeks away",he tells us on our forum. | |

One of the most talked about topics that fans are discussing about the upcoming Madonna album is whether the two songs that mysteriously made their way to the Internet last summer would be making the final cut of the CD-and whether what leaked back then were rough demos or the final version of the tracks. "Both "Candy Shop" and "The Beat Goes On" are on the album," a source tells us."Although I think you'll have a hard time telling if the first one is any different from the version you already heard". From what we hear,the tracklisting of the new album-which has yet to receive its final name-kept changing for a while,with songs added,songs pulled,and their order being swapped as well. "The Beat Goes On" is on the album,but this one is a completely different song,and sounds nothing like the version some of you might have heard",our source tells us."It is much faster,now it's a classic dance track with a very catchy rap insert courtesy of Kanye West towards the end". The source added: "Not only the tempo but also the pace has changed,and only the chorus and part of the bridge kept the original lyrics.All the rest,including the verses,is brand new". From what we learned,the "new" Beat Goes On is an amazing track with huge potential,difinitely a highlight of the new album. sounds interesting,but I hope they didn't change the "message" of the original track.I liked what Madonna was saying ("always the bridesmaid,never the bride...").There was a good message there.

I have to admit that the verses of "The Beat Goes On" sounded a bit bland, but I did love the bridge and especially the chorus. As for "Candy Shop", I'm glad it's the same. The admin on MTribe said Madonna apparently loves the song so much that she want to use it on the album even though it leaked and many fans hated it. DANJA talks to EW about Madonna's new album
Nate "Danja" Hills and Timbaland co-produced some tracks on Madonna's new album. Danja tells EW.com that the pop queen's next effort is "very uptempo,upbeat and urban-it's a Virginia-based sound".Madge was joined in the studio by another influential Virginian,Pharell Williams,but Danja emphasizes that the album's urban edge doesn't mean the 49-year old star has lost her pop cred."It's everything rolled into one," he says."It'll be a classic album".As previously reported here,Timbaland and Timberlake will appear in the video for Madonna's first single "4 Minutes To Save The World".The album is slated for an April 29 release.The single drops at the beginning of March. | |
