has it been determined if this demo disc is fake? I heard that it was sold on Ebay for a massive amount of money but if that's true, how come most of the tracks haven't leaked yet?

Do I Care?

U N Me

hmmm

I was actually looking forward to hearing "Sleep Deprivation",which has been described as "a favorite by both Madonna, the producers and the label.Very likely to become a single.Apparently,it's revolutiionary and fierce".

Or "Black",which has been described as "the rumored track called "Wizzle".It's organic, crazy and will rumble your words" lol

Or what about the news that "Candy Shop" probably won't be on the record, along with "Hit It Hard" and "Do I Care".Apparently,Madonna is "over them".

Madonna played "Candy Shop" on the Warner listening party, and she supposedly wanted it for first single, so that "being over it" rumour was completely false. "The Beat Goes On" was reworked from the leaked version though, it was re-sung and Kanye West added a rap...

Entertainment Weekly discusses the new album

Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are off to London to appear in Madonna's new video for the song "4 Minutes To Save The World".The two cowrote and coproduced the track, which is the first single off her forthcoming album (the last full LP she'll release for Warner Bros.),due out this April.Queen M also recently shot the cover with renowned fashion photographer and frequent collaborator Steven Klein. As fans clamor for a glimpse at the superstar's latest reinvention, details are starting to emerge about her new look and sound.Madonna's stylist,B (yes, she just goes by the initial) told Women's Wear Daily at Chanel's couture show on Tuesday that "Madonna's look is going to be more edgy, more fresh-no more disco".And Warner Bros. staffers who heard the record at a listening session last month describe it as "very now".Says an insider: "For the first time,Madonna's not chasing the next new sound. She's embracing what's happening today."

Yeah,I heard about "The Beat Goes On" being re-worked.Insiders say it sounds nothing like the leaked version that we heard. They say Pharrell went all out, adding bells and whistles and transforming it into a totally different song.I wonder if "Candy Shop" has been reworked as well? I like it,but it sounds kinda demo-like.

The song "Off The Hook" is a duet with Timbaland. He said that if Madonna didn't use it for her album,he would save it for his own next album.Supposedly,it's a hot song that Madonna really likes, but she didn't think that it fits on her album.

They say "Candy Shop" is practically the same on the album as the leaked version.

I'm not sure "Off The Hook" is real at all. It might be "Across The Sky" that is being saved for Timbaland's next album.

Isn't this just another way of saying "instead of coming up with somethign fresh and original, Madonna is just jumping on the current bandwagon"

Doesn't sound promising

Yeah, there's a rumor that "Across The Sky" won't be on the album neutral I really wanted to hear this song. It's been described as a nice midtempo number with lots of acoustic guitar and a flow that's reminiscent of "The Power Of Goodbye".Madonna hits some high nots, while Justin provides background vocals. They say it would have made an excellent third single.

I think she just simply wanted to make an R&B album. There's not really alot happening in today's R&B,so it's impossible to make a groundbreaking R&B album these days. She's experimented many times throughout her long career,so I don't mind if she wants to play it safe this time around.

I know, it sounded really promising, it was the track I got the most excited about (next to "Give It To Me")... Maybe the 3rd single will be "Miles Away", it seems to be a bit similar, judging by the description.

Do you think we'll get more than 3 singles? I think it's going to be "4 Minutes To Save The World", "Give It To Me", "Miles Away" and probably "Candy Shop", if we get 4...

Madonna's albums usually have 4 singles.Reportedly,"Give It To Me" is a strong contender.They say it's a cool,80s-sounding track.

Yeah,I really wanna hear this song too. It's been described as "the best of the whole bunch"....a beautiful uptempo song with acoustic guitars and a song structure that's similiar to "Love Profusion",but better.Justin sings backup.Of the five Timbaland/Timberlake tracks, they say this one is the most impressive.

That could be a great single choice too. And I guess she wouldn't release more than 2 songs as singles with Justin, so the other singles could possibly be the Pharrell-produced ones.

How many Pharell songs are on this album? I only know of these three...

"Candy Shop"
"The Beat Goes On"
Give It To Me"

I'm sure there's probably another one or two.The album contains 13 songs, and five of them are from Timbaland/Timberlake.

Nobody knows more than that unfortunately. But I'm guessing that there are more Pharrell tracks than Timbaland tracks because it seems Madonna worked more with Pharrell than with Timbaland or Justin. She already recorded with Pharrell in January 2007 and they went back to the studio in October 2007, while with Timbaland & Justin it was only June or July 2007.

There's at least one more Timbaland track ("La, La" he mentioned it in an interview last year), but there are at least 4 more tracks we have no info about...

As it stands right now, this is what we know now...

"Candy Shop" produced by Pharrell
"The Beat Goes On" produced by Pharrell
"Give It To Me" produced by Pharrell
"Miles Away" produced by Timbaland/Timberlake
"Even The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" produced by Timbaland/Timberlake
"Dance Tonight" produced by Timbaland/Timberlake
"4 Minutes To Save The World" produced by Timbaland/Timberlake
"La La" produced by Timbaland

"Across The Sky" was also produced by Timbaland/Timberlake,but it may not be on the album.

I know that there a few other songs produced by Danja, who is Timbaland's sidekick.

Swizz Beats produced a song as well,as did Sean Garrett and Mark Stent.

We don't know the titles of the other songs, but one is believed to be titled "She's Not Me".Another one is rumored to be titled "Feel It In My Heartbeat".

btw,I'm not sure that Pharrell produced more songs than Timbaland. In August 2007,Tim was bragging that he came up with 10 songs(!) for Madonna's album. He's a really prolific guy.

Danja comes with the Timbaland "package" at most of the time. He does produce alone now (Britney, Duran Duran) but he co-produced eveything on FutureSex / LoveSounds with Justin & Timbaland, so I guess all 3 worked together with Madonna. I think Danja once said he was part of the "team" on Madonna's album, when talked about his other projects with Britney etc.

Swizz Beats & Sean Garrett were always rumoured but never an official confirmation. confused If it's indeed true, then probably 1 or 2 songs.

Mark "Spike" Stent is the mixer/engineer, he mixed most of the COADF album, and been working with her since Ray Of Light or Music. He did get a co-producing credit or two on Music & American Life, but there was always another producer involved too.

That might be true about Timbaland doing 10 songs, but maybe they don't all end up on the album? The reason why I think Pharrell did more because it seems Madonna is pushing the Pharrell side of the record more: wanting "Candy Shop" first as single, re-recording a leaked track, naming the album after a Pharrell track - I think on most of her albums, the title track and the lead off single are by the "main" producer of the record, no? I know the lead-off single is going to be Timbaland, but some say she wanted "Candy Shop" more.

Early on,we heard about a bunch of songs that were recorded for the album.Supposedly, these are the first batch of tunes recorded for the album, dating back to late 2006/early 2007....

"Feeling Good"
"Black Tie Affair"
"Casanova"
"Within The Night"
"Esoteric"
"Trip The Light"
"High Rollers"
"So And So"
"Turn It Up"
"Isle Of Man"
"White Knight"
"Lovers Delight"
"Adolescent Fears"

Anyone know if these songs really exist? It's possible that most of these tracks were recorded with Stuart Price, before Madonna decided that she wants to make an "urban" album.

I don't think there was a Stuart session. Most tracks on COADF were written before for musicals and on the RIT already, so I doubt they got together after the Confessions Tour. She was already working with Pharrell a year ago this time...
