as i watched each member of the jackson siblings walk in i just thought how traggic that this is what has become of this family...each on their own have had their own hits (congrats to latoya for having her first #1 song this year).....

I'm very relieved that Michael was found not guilty. The prosecution's case was weak;therefore, the jury did its job. I'm also very proud of the American justice system on this day because in spite of ALL the negative, Michael was NOT convicted because there was NOTHING to back up the specific charges.
However, I'm not gonna bash Sneddon. I know he and Michael have a history, but at this point in time it appears that Snedden was doing his job because these accusers came forward. He didn't "create" the situation as far as we know: it fell into his lap. Also, apparently there was enough circumstantial evidence at the very least to go to trial. So there wasn't really a choice in the matter. In addition, I'm sure many will disagree with me, but I hope Michael finally gets some professional help for his obvious emotional problems. If he feels empty due to a lost childhood, then it's time to do something about it. I'm just a little worried that maybe this verdict is going to somehow "validate" his perception that his "lifestyle" or whatever ya wanna call it is socially acceptable, and that it's everybody else's problem, not his. I'm also a little worried that his family will see it that way, too. But that is NOT the case even by just observing the way that he handled the entire trial. I'm happy for him coz he dodged a bullet. But I would hope that Michael would use this as an opportunity to examine his life and relationships. | |
