As I said in a related post, forget about Michael, this could damage Janet's career. Depends how she plays it. Seriously, if her brother did it and is found guilty, I don't think she should associate with him until maybe he gets ouf of jail and not just for her career. That is honestly the position I would take. I'll admit I have a distant relative who is in jail for a similar crime and this is a guy who has been getting in all sorts of trouble for years! He's definately the black sheep and is talked about like a dog, as he should be. Way off topic but I really hope Michael's antics don't her. They never really did in the past.

neutral wow..i think thats the COLDEST SHIT i've ever had the displeasure of reading.
you don't dog your family, no matter what, cuz when the shit hits the fan their the ONLY ONES that will have ur back if everyone else fails u.
also mikes not her distant relative, he's her BROTHER. thats juts too cold

exactly. that's some cold shit right there. besides, like someone else said
(MartyMcFly I think), she should just record a decent album instead of the
snoozefests that were her last few albums.

But reading what you wrote about picking her career over her brother and not
associating with him until he got out of jail just made me glad that I have
a different brother, one who cares.

I've heard the people say that the longer the deliberations, the more likely he could be convicted but we don't know what's happening in the jury room.

I guess it's a bad thing because of it eliminates the possibility of the jurors going into the deliberation room, having a good laugh at the D.A. and his silly case and coming back with a resounding not-guilty.
Other than that, they have 10(13) counts to discuss, one of which (the kidnapping) consists of a dozen of points. Other than that they have to read almost 200 jury instructions, plus go through 4 months of testimony and some 500(?) pieces of evidence. Imagine one of them wants to take a closer look at all that porn wink. And of course they must decide unanimously (sp?) on everything, which might not be easy considering the nature of the case and the wide range of lighter and more grave accusations.
But, unfortunately, the chance of a full acquittal continues to diminish with each passing hour. Guess only time will tell... 4 more hours today.

I've been thinking that myself. How many days can a jury go on deliberating a case or can they decide at anytime that they've reached a hung jury?

They can deliberate for how ever long it takes altho if they take too long the judge can ask for a majority decision. So whatever the majority of them feel is the verdict.

If they can't decide or they declare a mistrial the judge can tell them to keep deliberating or they have to retry the case.

MICHAEL JACKSON'S RENEGADE PUBLICIST by FilmStew Staff 6/7/2005 at 10:44

From the beginning of the MJ trial, the column to read has been that of FoxNews.com’s Roger Friedman.

The New York-based journalist is hard-wired into various sources in the Jackson camp and has routinely scooped everybody else, before and during the sordid bowl of Santa Maria Suckatash. In recent weeks, he has been pointing out that Randy Jackson, in managing his brother’s affairs, has made a variety of colossal mistakes, not the least of which was firing longtime PR man Bob Jones. The fallout from that is about to get much more widespread as Jones’ tell-all book hits the public airwaves. It is a damning look at all-encompassing and, in some cases, pre-1993-accusation behavior by the pop star.

The book - Michael Jackson: The Man Behind the Mask - goes into much greater detail about MJ’s relationship with that Australian boy Brett Barnes, who it was alleged during the trial shared up to a year’s worth of sleepovers with the King of Pop. Jones also profiles a boy who palled around with MJ on tour in the late 1980s/early 1990s, and says he was amazed at how the singer could always pick off the one boy who would be most susceptible to his tactics and whose parents would be most easily bought off.

Explosive stuff, delayed from an originally planned April 2005 publication date. But perhaps the most damning thing here is the alleged idea that Jackson would deliberately undermine the careers of his siblings Janet and Jermaine, going so far - according to Jones - as to pay A&R people not to play their songs and diging up dirt on them for blackmail purposes. Yikes!

Jones was a publicist at Rogers and Cowan and Motown before MJ stole him away. For more background on this soon-to-be-constantly-interviewed author, click here.

Yet another book zzzzz. But considering who Bob jones is, the book could be interesting. I already got an unofficial book, going into lurid details about jordy. Most of those things were proved right actually.

As for Jacko deliberately harming janet and jermaines careers? I can see that. But I also heard he asked the head of cbs to promote "2300 jackson street" so ?

Abc is basically saying that when the verdict comes down that mj may not be in the courtroom cause he has a doctors excuse.

He might as well play it safe because if the verdict comes back guilty I totally see him collapsing in the court room. His legs buckling and needing support from his lawyers. Stay in the hospital and they can just increase the pain reliever dosage upon announcement.

Most definitely flight! I have to say that Mike is showing his guilt with these shenanigans. I have seen him in concert spinning and dancing and all of that with nary a back pain.

If you molested those kids, then take your punishment like a man. If you didnt, then go to court with your head up and cut out all of this bullshit.

If I were on the jury, then I would take notice of how he is acting and it would affect my decision.

I have never seen a grown man act so idiotic. (I didnt have a childhood WAAAAAHHH). At some point in life realize that you have to be accountable for the dumb things that you do just like the rest of us. Going on television holding some kids hand and talking about "I am Peter Pan" and it is okay to have some kids sleep in your bed is asking for trouble, especially after you have paid off other kids for alleged molestation. (Hell dangling a baby off a balcony didnt help matters either!)

After the first time the police stripped me down and took pictures of my nutsack, that would have made me shut down the amusement park, get rid of the zoo, take off the armbands and medals, get rid of the skin lightening medications, and start getting with the real world.

Mike, I hope that you get the psychological help that you need. You wrote some good music, but you are a fuck up. Even if you didnt molest those kids. Maybe a couple of years in Cell Block 8 may straighten you out. Your yes men couldnt do it, maybe the prison guards can.

Im sorry for my rant for the MJ fans out there, but he is not going to make it in prison if they lock him up.

But this is my opinion.
