Not The Red Baron????? I remember the very first time you played that for me. This would be very difficult but to hear it live ~~~~~
Yes please keep posting ~ if some people are bored with it they can skip to another thread! We want more!!!!!

Me too. That's still one of my favorites. Such a strange, tragic mood that song conjures up.

This was an important turning point in my musical education. Poems was also among the songs you played that day. I'll never forget the places the music reached ~ parts of my psyche that had been closed for many years. Thank you again Nathan.

Aww. comfort

I don't remember it being part of the "Poems" day. But I can imagine it exactly. I was into those albums around the same time.

sigh I miss the 90's so much sometimes.

i'm loving that the setlist has changed dramatically from the first night! only 2 of the same songs! eek

and, yeah, not the red baron...possibly one of the best songs about AIDS that i've ever listened to. i think i'd prefer not to hear it live, though, because it really does fuck me up a little. its one of my favorite songs of hers but its just so intense.

bells for her, marys of the sea, mother, and ending with an extended version of cloud on my tongue...this bitch is gonna KILL me on the 14th!!

I would've never guessed in a million years that that song was about AIDS.

i should put a disclaimer that i've never actually heard her say that. i just deduced it by the lyrics; i could be wrong about it. give it a spin and listen, though, and you'll see what i'm talkin' about. there's references to red ribbons, judy g, men dying...its all there.

by the way...i just requested the theme song to the golden girls for her chicago stop! lol

I'm still working on it. There's time and I've upped my paying price rolleyes
It's really wierd, my best friend from childhood called me the other day and said, "Are you familiar with Tori Amos?" Turns out he just discovered her (like me) and wants to go to the show. So we're determined.

You know, ticket prices drop at the last minute and become available usually. There's still hope.

what city are you looking for? ebay has tickets like mad and you'll probably be able top get a deal on some tickets. for her last trek out, i bought my tickets on ebay just days before the show and the scalpers were desperate to offload those tickets...especially the ones out of state who wouldn't have a chance to scalp at the venue!

San Francisco. I checked ebay yesterday, and the prices have dropped dramatically from a few weeks ago. yay! I want good seats though, so I'm a wait a while. Show's not until April 24, so we've got time... VIGILANCE!

Speaking of fanatical references...

"I'd say, gosh, Jim Morrison and Jesus look a lot alike, they do ya know! And my grandmother would say 'that's not funny'. I'd say 'I'm not picky, I'll go with either one!"
