Why did the Hall turn down gerald and pick justin? We can only speculate... justin is a bigger name with the younger pop culture than gerald levert, who hasnt made that much of that impact on bilboard these days. The asses are already going to be in the seats, this is the hall of fame for christ's sake, but you want the asses on the couches at home in front f the televisions.. so when kids see "Justin Timberlake" on the HOF commercial, they'll tune in... so it all comes down to marketing and promotion.. fuck personal moments.... we want ratings and fresh 'hot' stars

Why would the ojays object?: isnt it obvious? true, it's the hof's program so they can pretty much do want they want to do with their program. They can have justin induct the ojays for ratings, but i'll be damned if anyone can tell the ojays they can't speak out against the bullshit. i've never been one to "shut up and color" and I dont expect them to either if they feel slighted... and I can guarantee you they did feel that way

now, why exactly do you feel the ojays were wrong for objecting?

For as much as this has been discussed in the news and whatnot I have yet to hear Janet actually admit that it was a part of the show. But, what I have heard is a lot of non stop "white-boy" this and "ghetto pass" that which to me is really not the point.
