As far as the superbowl wardrobe malfunction thing goes. There is no reason why he should have to take the hit for Janet's bad decision to do that type of stunt.

I know! America obviously missed that part in the show where Janet held a gun to Justin's head and said "Rip my top off, whiteboy!" rolleyes

I'm not sure what Justin's race has to do with it. But the point of the matter was if it was Usher, Mario, or any of these other young boys it would be the same deal ...tacky stunt planned by verteran entertainer Janet Jackson blows up in her face.

Plus, I didn't know about the Lil Kim thing with EWF eek !!! The music industry has sank to a all time low. Can it ever recover from the hell it is in?

Thank God the O'Jays didn't just grin and bear it!!! They protested!! Why wasn't Eddie's son, Gerald or other soul legends selected??? Baby!!! I wrote to that controversial fake-ass Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Committee protesting about that Timberfaker loser being picked to induct the O'Jays 2 weeks ago!!! I did'nt receive a response. I find it racist, offensive and blasphemous to say the least!! You wouldn't see in a million years 50 cents inducting Alabama in any ceremony!!! That Timberfaker tosses his white ass in Black ceremonies where it's not wanted!! Wake up white boy!!! Your wannabee Black card has been cancelled and revoked!!!

They deserve to be in the Hall. And they had a right to protest the particular person who inducted them. Justin was not the appropriate choice.

If they tried to have someone like 50 cent or Clint Black induct Prince and he protested it would have been the same deal.

When Prince was inducted, I was a bit surprised and a little disappointed with who inducted him (Alicia and Andre). Personally, I would've liked to see Carlos Santana induct him, but that didn't happen. I realized after that it makes no difference who inducts who. The inductees should just to grateful for the induction. The O'Jays are great, but seem very ungrateful IMO. Perhaps they should've made them wait another couple of years so they could ensure someone worthy was available to induct them wink

i disagree...you play the chitlin circuit, work hard for years and the best somebody can come up with is timberlake? i'd be pissed too! if patti labelle got inducted by ashanti or beyonce, peeps would be upset. why not have eminem induct run-dmc if they ever get inducted

-----
They have been around since 1962 they should not have had to wait as long as they did. This is just another example of RnB artist being treated like crap by the industry and sometimes members of the Rock set in the industry.

Please stop feeling sorry for Justin. He is obviously being pushed on RnB fans and the RnB music community. I don't think you would ever see a black artist pushed on Rock or Country music fans or peers they way this "white boy" has been pushed.

If you are black you know that calling Justin a "white boy" is really a way of dissing him and it not at all racial.

As African-Americans we are the most racially tolerant people on the earth. If Justin had the talent he would be accepted. He does not have the talent. Therefore, he gets dissed.

well said laura. i watched the beginning of the show and it really bothered me seeing how everyone else had legends inducting other legends and then you have justin inducting the o'jays. that didn't sit well with me.
