no they didn't, most of the people here were angry about the pics. I don't have a huge problem with it myself but I don't understand the logic behind it. I mentioned the other pics but the pic of tupacs autopsied body, elvis in the casket, bruce lee in the morgue were all unnofficial and paid for photos, these were from the actual authorities, i don't get it. I heard Chazz say the same thing, he's right about that if nothing else he says.

No problem, there may be spelling errors or minor errors, it took a while to get to this point. Once finished, I will let everyone know. If an error is found, let me know please.

Perhaps when this thread is closed, the mods can create a sticky for google docs for the vault, the investigation and the estate just as quick updates for the org?

I'm in MN as well (altho I don't live "just down the street" from PP). He was most definitely respected by the community for the most part. Actually the individuals in closest proximity seemed to ignore him more than anything. He wasn't a "big deal" to those who lived in the immediate area because he had been a part of the community for so long. It was just business as usual for many folks. They respected his space and privacy. I don't believe he was at odds with his "hometown", and for sure not with LE. Prince didn't stir up trouble - at least not on purpose. LE never had any major issues with Prince or PP. He had a history of neglecting to pay, or being late to pay. He's been sued by different persons and/or companies to get what they believed he owed them. I don't think his residential community was particularly screwed over by Prince, nor was there an overabundance of hard feelings. Was any kind of (financial) business ever smooth sailing with Prince?

Thank you for clarifying, Sonshine! I knew there were a few here that live in the vicinity and could correct me on that. Rogifan being a poster from the area too. paulludvig just stated that no one from Chanhassen claimed to have known of Prince's addicition. Can you clarify that as well? Thanks.

I would say no, not the general public. My sis-in-law lives near PP. She snd her friends, aquaintances, neighbors, co-workers, etc were stunned and saddened by the news.

They didn't? Well, a lot of them didn't waste ANY time pouring over all the stuff that was released. If folks are so upset about it, the best way to get that across would be to make a stand and refrain from accessing all the files. I refuse to go there. If people aren't so interesred perhaps it would change current procedure. Idk but its a start.

I understand pete. My thoughts were more towards the folks who take offense at all the pics and information that was released, yet they have gone thru all of it with a fine tooth comb. To me it all seems like morbid curiosity. My wish has always been the his fans would let the man RIP. He deserved that; we could have (should have) given him that. I bristle at the LE criticism as well. No one here is in any position to judge their work. They gave his case the proper time and attention. I think those still obsessivly going on about it need to step back, take a breather, let it go. It can't be healthy to be this wrapped up in something or someone you have zero personal relationship with. Trust me I was as sad, lost, hurt, confused, heartbroken, etc as anyone. Prince and his music have been in the background of my entire adult life. He is what finally lifted me from the despair of a severe case of Empty Nest Syndrome I was experiencing. When it dawned on me I now had the time to revisit my Prince fandom pre-marriage snd raising a family I could hardly believe it. Finally I was going to be the one at those PP After Dark Parties! I would have my finger on the pulse of all things Prince rather than learning about new music releases etc well after the fact Lol Sorry, I digress. I never thought I would get to the point I could chuckle about anything Prince-related, and I know I wouldn't have come this far if I was still so consumed with that day. No offense to anyone. You do you.

My goodness, if I'm not interested in a thread I don't comment on it, and I especially don't comment it on it, to chide those who are interested in a thread that they shouldn't be interested in it. lol

AND again, it's odd that people are over here all up in this thread reading if they aren't interested in it.

ya, that's what i thought, a horrible job at embalming. recently, i read a bruce lee book where supposedly people complained how he looked at his funeral, puffy and unlike himself, the answer was, there weren't many embalmers in hong kong because it wasn't done much. I actually thought to myself "it wasn't as bad as rick james".

human nature, i've said it many times, people want to know. it's probably been the same for 50,000 or more years, a person is there one day, gone the next the question naturally is going to be "why". nothing wrong with that. also, when someone says "it doesn't matter how he died" which Bruce Lee's wife said about him, that only looks like diversion. like a coverrup of some kind and that's no good. the truth shouldn't be feared.

Sorry but I have a couple of questions.I looked for the audio recording of the 911 call in the files, I only found the one written but not the audio, can you tell me where I find it in the files of the investigation?
Immediately after the death of P I read on the internet an article about the disappearance of 300 million dollars from his account 3 days before. According to this article the police had stated that the money had been deposited in a phantom account. Unfortunately it seems that this article has been deleted and I can not find anything about the files.

I live in Italy and here they do not come to the news and only through the internet can I find them and it is difficult to understand which ones are true and which are not. Do you know something about it?

Yes, Pete, unfortunately there is always that. I just don't get that feeling about the people here on this thread. While I can't make myself look at the pics, it seems to have helped others here. But you're right, billion dollar industries have been launched to appease gawkers (a sad commentary on our society).

Quick question on your report. On item line 23, the plastic ziplock baggie that was found in Andrews backpack had 2 or more individuals DNA, including 1 major DNA profile, which earlier was id'd as Prince being the major DNA profile. How could that be, if Andrew never met Prince?
