I don't know about anyone else, but dealing with up to 100 emails a day would likely give anyone a headache.

But sleeping during the day isn't healthy at all. It can make you depressive and sick. I know what I'm talking about, I've been thru this.

.

That is true. Keeping that type of schedule is not healthy in the long run.

Playing a 2 hour soundcheck 3-4 hour show and another 2 hour after show .. travel make up dancing wardrobe food not even included yet .. plus the 100 emails a day is simply impossible without drugs ... uppers for the show .. downers to get over jet lag ... doesn’t matter if he sleeps that is just unbelievable and impossible especially on a long tour ... it is the reason musicians get so hooked ... no chance he did it all clean

Actually you are very wrong...

No way he would have been able to maintain that schedule taking uppers and downers..

I know a person who has survived on less than four hours sleep since forever...

coincidentally also a musician and also vegetarian, and clean living.

His energy is next level,

He falls into a very smal...ttle sleep

THese people fall into two catagories...

The Sleep Deprived who are ramped on caffeine or so stressed that their minds simply cant shut down..these people suffer

then there are the true SHort Sleepers who simply dont NEED to sleep...these people are halmarked

by their ability to maintain clarity and achieve pehnomenal outputs due to always using their waking hours

productively...they seem to be feuled by a creative energy that neither compramises their health

or nor bewilders them...THey are in fact envied by others becasue they seem to be able to sleep more efficiently,..meaning that the few hours that they do sleep totally revives them .

Studies suggest that this may be a genetic condition

or maybe its something else...

but

These people ARE OUT THERE...

Prince was a prodigy. If every artist/performer on the face of the earth was drugged out of their minds in order to keep with the schedules of touring, events, appearances, recording music, etc., they would be dropping like flies!

.

What about living legends like Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Cher, Tony Bennett (just to name a few)....Mick Jagger......look at his energy, even at the age of 74...is he doing drugs too? Did they all get wasted too just to keep up? Of course not, because it's complete nonsense!! rolleyes

People die every day in their 50s from a laundry list of different things a mile long. There's a laundry list of many who didn't make it past 30 and not because of any overdose either. Nobody is promised their next breathe. I get it but I don't get it comparing those who have been blessed enough to make it past 70 or 80 years, we have no idea what near misses they encountered.

Of course. Everyone knows that!

I was just using those famous people as an example. They've all done the long tours and spent long hours in the recording studio and they didn't do it by being on drugs, and neither did Prince. That's all I'm saying, and I don't agree with Trevors comment about Prince had to be on drugs to achieve all those things......ridiculous....whatever. rolleyes

Are you on drugs? If he had been taking drugs to do these things for the last 40 years he would not have been doing any of these things well. He might not have even had a carreer 40 years out or might have died a long time ago.

No one every said he did not sleep at all. In fact we have already stated what his personal assistant said about his sleeping hours.

People can and do have sleep disorders and Prince did have at one time a staff taking care of everyday things most of us have to do which freed up his time.

If you are disciplined you can get a lot of done and too many people some of whom are still angry and disgrunteld have said numerous times they never saw him high. He simply would have not been able to hide it for 40 years and get anything accompolished.

Your comments are devoid of critical thinking.

According to two of his personal assistance his sleep hours were 6:00 am to noon. Meron said she would have as many as 100 e-mails from him up until 6:00 am. He was not to be distrubed doing his sleep hours. The former assistant said the same thing.

The idea that he never sleep is absurb just as the idea that someone can be wacked out on drugs for 20 or 30 years and work as well as he did. The streets are filled with alcoholics and drug addicts who do not know what world they are on and everyday people who coast at their jobs until they are fired.

Once again people need to stop projecting their issues and making up some drugged out life that Prince led that we have yet to see one shread of evidence of.

Anyone working in a corporate enviromement has to deal with it. In Prince's case he was the one sending them out and I cannot imagine the hell it gave his PA.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Elton John, Eddy Van Halen, have all done heavy duty drugs, and they still managed to go out on tours and put albums out.

None did these things sometimes all at the same time.

Engineering

Playing all the instrutments.

Producing all of his albums

Writing all of the songs with a few co-writers hear and there.

15 productions in the first 7 years of his carreer.

Making movies,

Star in movies.

Directing movies.

Directing videos

Photography.

Touring for all but maybe 3 years of his carreer.

Running a Real Estate trust.

Philantrophy

Harvesting hey and growing crops in his greenhouse.

Owning nightclubs

Owning and running a commerica recording studio

Kim Berry said anything he hired someone to do he would figure out how to do himself.

If he was stoned out of his ass he would not have learned to do any of these things and would not done t hem well enought to afford the lifestyle that he lived.

I am sorry the evidence that he was a life long dope head is not there. I do not care what some of you say his problems with those pain pills are related to some health issue that his family and assoicates are tyring to keep secret. Whatever was going on they feel it is better to not reveal to the public as estates cannot sue for defamation and anyone is free to say he was high out of his mind for 40 years.

Eddie Van Halen was not able to come out his house he was such a drunk and that was a problem for him for a few years. Many people have commented that he is not anywhere near as good as he was before liquer got to him.

Did you see Prince taking long breaks from recording or touring? Did you see Prince getting better at his instruments as he went along or worst?

If you like David and Tom great but remember the only album David had that was hughely popular was Let's Dance which was done while he was sober and produced by Nile Rodgers.

David was so wasted on drugs he had to leave the U. S for fear of drug dealers and he once hid his own pee in his freezer for fear that someone would steal it.

Tom Petty was so high on herion that he took a break from the road and almost died.

Amazing that anyone in their right mind in this day and age would think dope gives you super powers but I have been saying all along we have people on the org that are projecting their love of drugs on to Prince's death.

Stop twisting it. Nobody here on the Org are projecting 'our' love of drugs onto Prince's death. We are trying to show you, that hard core drug users can and have done better then Prince, while they were on drugs. You seem to think that people who do drugs, can't move or do anything productive, when that is simply not the case. People can and do function quite well while on drugs.

I am stating what I see on this board. People promoting drug use. I am sorry you do not understand what an opinion is or are okay with people implying that drugs give you super creative powers when no evidence exsist to back that up.

But what do you care about evidence. We have none to say that Prince was a life long dope head but that does not stop you. You never answer why know one can remember him being anything but drunk off wine and what Susan R thinks was estacsy. I am sorry but estates cannot sue for defamation and if people really wanted to make money they would be talking about his drug use for the last 30 years. Yet we have no stories at all.

Sure people can do good stuff while on drugs. But Prince was very productive, in many different fields and for a very long time. People who spent a lot of time with him make it clesr that they didn't see any drug use. Those other you mentioned has never been able to keep their drug use a secret, it was just too obvious.

we also heard about some of these folks bligerant antics back stage or after shows, but nothing

of that sort from Prince's camp. the most fun i have heard about backstage was Prince needling

rick james, and the time, those are only times i have heard about fights and that was a food fight

we also heard about some of these folks bligerant antics back stage or after shows, but nothing

of that sort from Prince's camp. the most fun i have heard about backstage was Prince needling

rick james, and the time, those are only times i have heard about fights and that was a food fight

i think.

You are correct. No evidence of Prince fucking up.

Even Mayte in her book said all they did was rehearse until they had bruises on their bodies and were very exhausted at times. She said he may have had wine here and there but no shenanigans and antics. he was a hard worker and determined.

i think that if prince took meds, over the long haul it was simply to keep moving.

like a painter who is told your gonna lose the use of your hands but if take this elixer you will

be able to use your hands but your eyesight will start to diminish.

so he takes the elixer in such small amounts to as to draw out the life of his hands, slowly

sacrificing his eyes.

P had made of himself music and movement. this is where i think people forget

the power of dance and movement. i think P's first love was movement it is our first

contact with music. we move to it before we make it. i think if he was just music he would have been

content to sit and play music. he would have long ago sat down and let the body rest. but the

need to move and connect with the music that way is what made the music so alive and our

reaction to it so clear. i think he felt it before he made it. if he parceled out dosing to keep

moving i get it, i wish he had found another substitute for the movement desire, but outside

of making music as the substitute for making movement i am not sure there is one to match

the others power.
