Anywho! Willow should have starred in the remake FLOP of "Annie". It would have done a lot better if she did it. Why on earth she decided to back out is beyond me?!

BtW Willow has a HIT number#1 single under her belt "Whip My Hair". Jaden has the number#1 box office hit "Karate Kid"...

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

And right there stand two people Prince should be drawing inspiration from? Once Prince gets over this hanging-with-the-kids midlife crisis and brings in the veterans and legends back into PP, even you KCool will be laughing at how preposterous this all is. I mean really. You are putting Prince, one of the worlds great musical artists, with these two teenage brats spawn from the sack of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. How can you possibly think there is magic there? There is nothing but tragedy ahead if Prince draws one iota of inspiration from people like these.

I thought Black Messiah was total bullshit except one song, which is another blatant Prince rip but hey different strokes. The entire album is a fucking copy of dudes who copied other dudes but it's a D'Angelo album so people suck his dick but Black Messiah in reality was a commercial flop and creatively it was a copycat game. Every song is a copy of an idea that came before and you could say that a lot of artists have copied folks and still done great music but I wish people would stop acting like Black Messiah is the Holy Grail of music because it's not. It's not better or more creative than what Bilal is doing. In my mind people saw Jesse, Questlove, and Leeds involvement and said IT'S A MASTERPIECE! Man that shit ain't funkier than Medeski Martin and Wood record. I'm still waiting to hear what D'Angelo's authentic music sounds like. But D'Angelo gets a pass for doing nothing for over a decade and putting together a collection of songs that are essentially tributes and touring with a tribute band. GTFOH. I haven't played a single song off that record since the week it came out and I'm not the only person who thinks this way about this record.

Of course you aren't the only ones who think Black Messiah is bad. Lots of people have shitty taste. After all, HnR appears to be popular here on the Org.

I think you may be right. This is why I started a thread a few days ago asking if DAngelo was finally in the running for being the new Prince. I dont think I have ever been more disappointed in Prince than when he cites useless, spoiled punk children like Willow Smith. He says nothing about real musicians who are kicking his ass now like DAngelo, Van Hunt, or even Sananda Maitreya because it is obvious that they are acting like grown men and he is trying to be the hip uncle at the family cookout.

I was struck the same way by that. I mean what big Hollywood couple wants to hear that Prince wants to meet their minor children. What could a man as old as Prince want with spolied brat, talentless punk ass Hollywood-born teenagers? The one thing Prince definitely had on Michael Jackson was the lack of "interest" in children. What the fcuk, Prince!

And a lot of people like tribute albums masquerading as new albums by cats that devote their time mimicking every element of a mid-1980s tour to the point of hiring several members of that predecessor's former backing band to the point of idol worship.

I'm not sure why, but I think Prince is afraid to work with musicians that might be better than him or his equals. It's plain to see when you look at most of the people he's worked with over the past several years. He's a master musician, so I don't know why he would feel this way, but I do believe it.

That's sadly the truth. He is afraid of being outgunned by musicians who would make him earn his million dollars per show. He's a control freak and an egomaniac, so all the glory has to be his.
