This is the continuation of the project developed by org's member electricberet. For the time being I'm taking over the project.

This is the next installment in a series of polls ranking the songs on each album officially released by Prince or O+>. The goal of this project is to determine which tracks should be included in a final poll to determine the overall top 25 Prince songs in the opinion of his fans.

For those of you who haven’t been following the polls, these are different than the usual “best song” threads in that they combine the preferences of all the voters into an overall list.

I am going through these in the same order that they were ranked in the earlier poll of the best Prince albums. Next up is Around the World in a Day, ranked #9 in that poll.

Whether you love this album or think it’s overrated, you’re sure to have an opinion on these nine songs. So please vote!

Please don’t discuss the preliminary results or campaign for your favorite song(s) until the poll is closed. I plan to close the poll on Wednesday, but I may close it early if the preliminary results are discussed on this site. This is to make sure the poll is as accurate as possible.

Nothing serious, but he hasn't the time to continue the project for the time being. But he'll be following the polls whenever he finds the time.

I think the project is very interesting, a chance to think once again about those loved (or not-so-loved) Prince albums, listen to them and discuss them in the org.

But remember everybody: discussion only after the poll is closed!

Great idea, but why ATWIAD, this is a very mediocre album for its time period. I left 3 songs at #9 as they were just so bad, I couldn't move them apart.

The project includes rating the songs of all Prince albums, in the order that resulted from the first poll, which consisted in rating the albums themselves. The songs from the albums from number 1 to 8 have already been rated, and Around The World In A Day was number 9. You can find the links to the previous polls in my first post here.

I think it's fun and interesting to revise all Prince albums, even the ones that one likes the less. In this case, the poll can serve to give the not-so-loved album another chance, among other things.
