There's a difference between sitting and acting like you don't care and acting like a total dumbfuck on national TV. She can show her excitement and admiration without being crass and begging for personal items, Whoopi should've smacked that bitch up! He didn't even get a chance to really talk about the shows.

[Edited 12/9/10 12:00pm]

I really don't feel as a fan she was out of place. Whoppi handled the glove incident perfectly. I'm sure she scolded her later. The sleep with part was out of place. But like I said earlier she had no idea he was coming. Prince had already said he was leaving by then. It gave him the perfect opportunity for him to exit. To me it was perfect timing what she said .

Like someone said. She is a comedian and she did wait until everyone got out what they wanted to say before she made that cringe worthy remark. Sherri is very emotional & can't control her feelings. What she did wasn't out of the ordinary for her...

Absolutely pathetic that he went on The View.

The Music knows, Prince. It knows.

the music knows what your motives are when you are making it

listen to The Replacements - its good for the soul

Sherri wanted to throw Prince on a plate and eat him with a dinner roll,

she looked like he was a bisquit and she was imagining putting butter on him lol.

hahaha.. I enjoyed watching her though, she look like she was at a buffet about to throw down on some food.

She should have said "you don't understand, I have been wanting to Butter you my whole life"

I could imagine him thinking thank God there is no kitchen around. fryingpan she would have knocked him upside his head and he would take up butt naked in the kitchen with butter candles around him.

Supposedly this wasn't the first time Sherri's met (or worked with, or saw her standup? BET Awards maybe?) Prince, and you can tell that she's met him before, but she said she almost had an asthma attack.

The show's broadcast live, so they have to keep track of how long guests are on, and they usually know how the whole hour is going to play out. So maybe there was some producer telling them Prince needed to go and she threw that comment out, but you can tell he was amused.

They've had all sorts of people on the show, but when you meet someone from your teen years that made an impact on you, the fanboy (or fangirl) is going to come out. Just think about anyone you grew up liking, and it doesn't matter how successful you are or how many famous people you've met, when you meet a childhood hero or crush, it's a big deal.

I thought going on The View was a good way of getting the word out about the shows.

He'll probably be making the rounds of a few talk shows, and since Tonight Show and Ellen are out (since they are California-based) he's probably opting for New York-bases shows.

Letterman is out, since there is bad blood there.

I'd look for him on The Today Show and Regis in the upcoming weeks.

Does he really?

I seem to recall his performance behind a piano on a recent awards show left me wondering if he played at all.

He gets up and the part he was "playing" keeps right on going.

I mean, I guess his keyboardist could have been doubling the part. But, it all remains the same...

Odd, no?

Yes, he does play all 3.

I simply do not understand the hate and the claims of no talent towards this kid.

Thanks, Erin. For the record, I asked purely out of ignorance. I know nothing about him, don't even think of him unless I see him mentioned here or elsewhere.

I have nothing against JB as a person. As far as that goes he seems like a pretty nice, level headed kid. Especailly considering all the crazy he has around him. What I'm against is the ridiculous levels of fame he's reached for doing almost nothing. I'm also of the opinion that the music that put him there is complete and total crap. The only thing I can compare it to is early Madonna, but she actually worked HARD for quite a while to get to that point. With JB it's like we all went to sleep one night and the governments of the world did some sort of mass brainwashing. Woke up the next morning and JB was a megastar.

You do know this was planned and rehearsed, right?

Oh, and you do know it was a desperate attempt to prevent his pathetic concert series from becoming a complete failure.

Not really, his MSG shows were already sold out WAY before he came on the show and there's only a "few" IZOD tickets left for New Jersey. The only thing he has to do is sell out the new January 18th show, if tickets aren't sold out already or if the sale hasn't started yet

Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! biggrin In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

Why is there bad blood with Letterman?

Because Letterman's cool enough to laugh at Prince on occasion.

Notable occasion: At the close of Prince's performance of "Dolphin," while he's on the ground playing dead, Dave walks over and asks if he's OK.

OK, "bad blood" might've been a bit harsh. Prince prefers Leno, and yes Letterman does make fun of his guests instead of catering to them (like Leno does).

Hopefully I'm proven wrong and he IS on Letterman!

The Letterman experience aside, I believe Prince's publishing deal is with Universal. Universal and nbc (at least at 1 time) are the same company (in part) Thus, Prince performing primarily on NBC.

Doesn't mean he wont do other networks-just means primary network NBC. Prince will do any show that will maximize his publicity when needed (American Idol-Superbowl-Award shows).

I remember Sherri once saying in the past that Prince was one of the few celebrities that she still got star struck by. She was saying that once she was around celebrities regularly she didn't get star struck very often - he was however the exception.

That Justin kid seems nice now, but like those other young stars he'll probably end up hitting bongs with miley cyrus... hopefully not, but how often have we seen this happen to these kids? All of them had hang ups later in life... and not much later! I just hate his hair!! LOL
