Does anybody have an actual CD? Is the track really number 77? Meaning, do you have to skip through tracks 10-76 to get to it?

You know how this guy is with the number 7 and shit? He thought naming this track number 77 instead of 10 was cute probably. lol

Track 77. falloff

Sounds like a lazy, lets introduce Larry after a 5 minute jam song. One of the only two songs I probably wont listen to much on this album.

Solid composition (the album) from the begining until everybody loves me + this (doesnt fit to me). Im grateful my fav artist is still giving us more to listen to and this is creative and fresh. Two tracks out of 10 is unheard of these days. Love it, thanks P!

Great track. Reminded me of the feel of 3121. Wish he would do more of this - more futuristic and far out. Please do more of this!

Contemporary. A perfect mix of Prince and more current sounds.

Love the 'Purple Yoda'; the fierceness of it.

Pure electro-funk. But how this is anything like 'Old Skool Company' is beyond me. 'It is funk and electronic therefore it sounds like ... .' Like comparing 'Hot Thing' to 'Illusion, Coma, Pimp and Circumstance'.

Everyones entitled to their opinion, but some of the reviews here are utter shite. People seem determined not to like the album.

Rapping itself is fine because in the early 1980s, rap was basically just spoken lyrics rather than sung lyrics over funk so rap was actually funky back then. It's when hip hop got it's own sound that it became shit hop....stripped completely of damn near all instruments and the only thing remaining are those damn weak ass drum machines that just barely tap which never get past midtempo and sound like an annoying grandfather clock just ticking at a slow pace. And that's not even getting into the ignorant attitude they started having.

Agree 100%. Where did the fucking beat go?!...

Probably the closest this album has gotten to having an "OMG!" moment similar to how I felt when I first hear the first few bars of Cheslea Rodgers on July 15th 2007. However where that track kept up it's energy and awesome thorughout, just as Laydown starts to feel like it's really starting to go somehwere.... stops! If this was longer and less Prince-hop clean this could perhaps have been funking amazing. :/

That said, a little faster and dirtier and this could totally blow the roof off a live gig. smile

Eye like pretty things, and u're just as pretty as u can b...

One for the sub. That bass is incredible. This was instantly my fav of the 10. Agree that it sits somewhat odly in the set and so I can see why it's hidden.

Maybe a hint of the next album?

I so hope it's a hint of the next album. If there was a purple yoda music machine vote I'd vote for this kinda thing.

OK, since some of y'all love it so much, I bet you didn't even notice he was giving some props to the song "Funkytown" in it. Remember that song was created by another Minneapolis musician. Apparently "Funkytown" was somewhere in Minneapolis too lmao...

The song is kinda funny with his lyrics: "purple Yoda", "boo", "bounce bounce come on now"... lol

"The purple bounce bounce"... lol

Hip Hop heads will hear this and know he was listening to Santogold's "Creator"....(YouTube her to compare the songs)
He didn't even changed her melody..just slowed the tempo a little and added his flavor to it and Im loving the track!!
I'm just glad that he even did a song of this type (Santogold/M.I.A electro-hip hop)...Show he still can expand his creativity at a time he was sometimes sounding stale

My favorite song on the album. Its a bad mamma jamma and me likey.

It hits so hard and the lyrics go right along with it. I do like the idea of this being a fight song for the Vikings, this would definitely get Favre to come back as an old decrepid QB.

No? It has that 'menace' vibe to me. One is dark ala Black Album (OSC) while the other is Lovesexy Positivy-ish (Laydown) imo.
