No over analyzing here, or trying to figure out what it sounds like from the past. Just an awesome tune.

Does anybody have an actual CD? Is the track really number 77? Meaning, do you have to skip through tracks 10-76 to get to it?

You know how this guy is with the number 7 and shit? He thought naming this track number 77 instead of 10 was cute probably. lol

Track 77. falloff

lol I like somebodies thought that he did it on purpose to remind us of the $77 cost for the Lostusflow3r website. lol That's the way the version I have listed the tracks, though. 1-9, and 77. I've purchased other CD's where artists have done that, too. I don't remember which one it is, but one release from an electronic artist (maybe Cylob) had bonus songs start at track 99. I think there was eleven songs on the CD, then from 12 to 98 each track was two seconds of silence. So you either had to wait a few minutes for the silence to play or skip through all those tracks. I thought maybe Prince did the same, but haven't actually read as much yet. *shrug*

Prince also did this on New Power Soul with the song "Wasted Kisses" (which is an excellent tune), but I think it was track 47 or something like that.

Minneapolis is the sound of Amarna

I put this song first and trimmed the starting time for Compassion. Added some MPLSoUND tracks and removed all the ballads. Now I have a disc I can groove to from beginning to endlessly.

1. Laydown

2. Compassion

3. Beginning Endlessly

4. Sticky Like Glue

5. Act of God

6. Lavaux

7. (There'll Never Be) Another Like Me

8. Everybody Loves Me

9. No More Candy 4 U

A+ album. smile

Love this one. He won't have to tell the kids to leave like he did with Face Down on tour! I'm spinning this one next gig.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

The opening sound bending stew of funk has me. Here is Prince having fun mixing his musical elements and putting on the experiment cap again. It has a nod to what is going on musically present but he still does it in his way, and at the 1.47 mark he dips us in the purple funk we all love. In my opinion he saved the best for last and if I have to get through some stock standard songs to get here I'm cool with that as the pay off is worth it.

In all this is a solid Prince album and thankfully he has edited himself and given us an album that lets us dip in and out of without being too overblown or overlong. I am sure he had the capacity to bust out another multidisc set, but this time it feels a less is more strategy is on point.

Hopefully, he will choose the right songs to make singles - if he is so disposed.

Nice idea, but it's way too 20Ten heavy.

Here's my dream version:

1. Compassion

2. Dance 4 Me

3. Beginning Endlessly

4. Here

5. Act of God

6. Future Soul Song

7. Ol Skool Company

8. Lavaux

9. No More Candy 4 U

Now that's A+!!!

I love this track and is probably the best track on this album - but I hate the way it ends suddenly and seems way too short - to me the whole album is good but not great and just sounds a bit unfinished more like a work in progress, I love P but this is not his best - I do like it though and hopes it grows on me but not an instant hit - with me anyways so please don't hate me just my humble opinion.

Ok, this may be a very stupid question but I have to ask it as I do not have the album yet (its coming thru the German amazon) and I refuse to listen to it through the computer. So here is my question: Is this song a rap? I keep reading that it is and that it isn't and I want to know if it is or not. Thanks and sorry for the trouble.

Yes I think that is a real problem with all of the this songs, they all sound not finished.

You can hear many times an aprubtly ending, like there is just a cut. You wanna move on

and getting funky and then - END. neutral

There will be extented versions, would be unbelievable if not.

I think this album was a real surprise and a relief to a lot of people (including me) because he

caused trauma with purple & gold and maybe hot summer.

Still a lot of the songs have to grow on me.

I love this album though it fits to the summer heat.

The best would be to listen to facedown I think, the same style with his speaking voice what

a lot of people calling rap, it's a matter of oppinion.

If you think facedown is rap than I would say yes.

But I would say no, it's not a rap lol

He sounds really cool in it, really funky and laid-back same time a strong and kinda aggressive

tone to his voice.

He does not sing in it (the only singing part is the girls in the background with "you need to lay it down"

And wow u really can wait THAT long to hear the album ?

I would be going crazy. lol

Thumbs up!
