No. Not openly anyway. This odd, staggered distribution method is going to guarantee that most all US fans will be downloading it free and quite possibly not buying it in stores. Poor planning, unless store copies have an extra disc, or at the very least, extra tracks. I'll still be buying it from a brick-and-mortar if/when it happens, but obviously I'm not in the majority.

Lol!! That commercial is hilarious. And unfortunately, the music's better than what was on MPLSound.

It's amazing that we're less than a week out from a new Prince album and not one note has been heard by anyone (except, supposedly, a smattering of select magazine journalists). Is this unprecedented?

I'm not just talking about leaks, BTW, I'm talking about no lead single or even snippet (even NEWS and LF had those...).

It's kinda good tho - lately they've lowered my expectations - the LF snippets, Guitar and PE, Te Amo Corazon, all kinda brought down the album for me (altho with 3121 we had BS and Fury to compensate...).

Hopefullly, it's a good sign, then...

That would actually be a good thing these days.. If it is worth buying i'll be first in line.. but if the going rate is that it's gonna be a downloader.

Right? The youtube ad. Sounded pretty real to me. Although I wouldn't place money that the music in the Mirror ad is not him, either. I'll be happy if that's the direction the album skews in. The mix sounds a bit more classic P than MPLSound did.

I could go either way on the Mirror ad. Would be great it if was him, and there's no reason to believe it's not, unless someone can produce this supposed Garageband loop, as I'm sure they've got access to the music on the album and clearance to promote it.

Well the fact that it appears in a commercial for a Prince album given away with newspapers would be pretty strong evidence in the face of no one being able to come up with any other source for it.

As I said, I'm split on it, it could go either way, but without another clip using it, there is no evidence that it isn't him, considering it's used in an ad promoting his product.

Ok, i just listened to it. I would be willing to bet 65 pence that is indeed Prince.

Why wouldn't they play a clip of the product they are advertising? it would seem weirder to me if they used a stock sound especially if they have access to the real deal.

The classic Prince sound has been copied so much that Its easy to feel you have heard that before lol.

Either way, i like it, and like the sound on the previous ad. They both just sounds livelier than MplSound to me, or is it just the eternal optimist in me when it comes to new Prince music.
