New Prince music on Montreaux Jazz Fest website

You can listen to a new recording of "In a large room with no light" by prince on the official website of the Montreux Jazzfest website.

I never expected that song to see the light of day.
It changed quite a bit although it remains the same lyrical drive and rhythm in the song.

Lovely, very lovely. I really dig what Renato and Prince did to the classic vaulted joint. Fleshed it out a little. Very nice.

I like it but I must say that I dig the original much more and at the time I didn't think the song was that great. However it is cool to see Prince pull out an unreleased classic and have it bestowed upon us. Must mean that it will get officially released at some point or it wouldn't be up here for us to listen to.

Wow. The whole enchilada, not just some 30-second tease.

Nice touch, even if it is free to the whole world (which it would be within minutes of it appearing on his official site anyway).

Fits way better and last much longer than a glove (or should I say "t-shirt".) All apologies in advance.

Change the "de" after "lang=" to "en" and it's in English.

Talkin' big stuff in your face (Are U happy?)
U only get the kind of people that open their mouth just 2 swap feet
Welcome 2 the rat race

Always grateful for new music...

But it lacks the punch of the original with horns & Sheila. sorry it's sounding too "jazzlite" for me.

And my biggest beef of course is that once again lotusflow3r.com has demonstrated its uselessness in getting (1) prince music to us & (2) getting prince news to us.

i really don't like that he did that. even if he cut the expletive out. it feels like half a song now. decent little jam though anyway. not fuckin' with the original. wouldn't mind more like it anyways cool

it'd kinda blah compared to the original, but it'll make a nice addition to the LF album, whenever a downloadable version becomes available.

This makes me feel really good about spending $77 on Lotusflow3r.

Not anywhere near as good as the original, IMHO, but not a bad re-working.

I wonder if the Montreaux people know this song is 20 years old.
