I wonder if I'll b able 2 catch the Prince-TV broadcasts. razz
Perhaps the idea of having his own video station was his reason 2 ban every Prince video elsewhere on the internet?

Thanks for posting this (and sending it through the Yahoo! groups where I received it first).

I'm pleased to see Prince in this light. This helps reiterate just the kind of person he is and after getting so lost in his music, sometimes I need to be reminded of that thumbs up!

If there was a Prince TV channel, how many of you would quit your jobs to watch it 24/7?

cool Thanks Serge biggrin Nice article!!
In Prince's defense I do really believe that if he says he's celibate, he is. It is entirely possible to refrain from sex, especially if U aren't with the one that U truly heart
Considering his current beliefs it is all very possible yes
I can't wait to see the book and hear the music (the pictures wouldn't open for me, but have lots of anticipation for what's ahead)

I have been saying this all along. If people can go to Youtube for free why would anyone pay for a video or cable channel.

That was a GREAT interview. That was the most open Prince has been in a while. The idea of Prince doing a TV Channel would be amazing. He should really jump at the chance but then again this is Prince so I'm not holding him to the fire to do this. I just hope that the next round of music he releases is a Grand Slam Home Run and that he can have some ground-breaking distribution deal come out of it all at the same time. I'm rooting for ya Prince!
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Surely celibacy gets easier the more you age? And is celibacy not having an orgasm or not having sex?

Thanks Serge,

I can't wait for my '21 Nights'!!! Nice read. A little heart breaking but sounds like he's doing his thing. I think this man deserves some peace on his terms. I would love to see a Prince Channel, the 3121 magazine would be a welcome site/sight too. Gotta love the dude for his strong independent individuality.

Yeap new CD on it's way?

A preview of new music from Kyler England

Kyler England is performing around the country on a CD release tour that brings her to Milkboy in Ardmore tonight. But there's a problem.

"Yeah, I'm doing a CD release tour without a CD," England said during a phone interview on Wednesday as she traveled from Baltimore to New York . "The CD is not exactly done - it's 98 percent ready. My husband, Richard Furch, and I were making the record and the tour dates were lined up."

Then Prince got in the way. Furch, who is a respected producer and engineer from Los Angeles, was lured away by the rock icon.

"We were almost finished with my album when Richard got a call to engineer and track a new album for Prince," England said. "So Richard has been spending his time at Sunset Sound in L.A. and I've been on the road without my new CD.

"I started working on the album back in January and then was touring a lot in the spring. The final touches were just put on the album and the CDs are being pressed now. They'll probably be on my doorstep when I get home from the tour. I'm taking pre-orders for the album and handing out four-song samplers at my shows."

Sometimes, it can be hard on audiences if too much new material is introduced in concert, but this hasn't been a problem for England on this tour.

"I've been touring a lot all year," she said. "I've been playing some of the new songs, so people are already familiar with a few of them. And I've had some of the album's songs up on My Space for a few weeks. I'm playing a lot of the new album in my current set - some old songs, but mostly newer stuff. It's working out fantastically. People are buying the pre-orders.

"I've done so much writing in the last couple years - for myself and for other musicians.

"I go to Nashville and write country pop. Back home, I write teen pop and electronica dance music. All the songs come pretty easily.

"When I come back to my own stuff, I write about inspiration I get from my own life. I had so much fun writing this record. It deals with living in the real world and growing up. I've learned that you have to continually challenge yourself."

England will be sharing the bill with Ellery, a husband-and-wife duo from Cincinnati.

"On this tour, it's just me and my guitar," England said. "On a lot of the dates, I've been co-headlining with Ellery. They've been sitting in on my set, so I have a mini-band with me for some of my set. It's worked out nicely."

What: Kyler England in concert

When: Sept. 20, 8 p.m.

Where: Milkboy, 2 E. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore

Tickets: $8

Information: 610-645-5269

Celebate my ass! The guy is the biggest poon hound in rock history. He just says that so the JW's won't kick him out or they had him shut up for pr reasons. I haven't heard any news about him visiting houses for the religion, except that one article years ago.

The guy has been seen going into hotels with women. Trusting the tabloids..lol

He wrote a song about Martin King but doesn't vote? Martin King died so you could vote you sorry sack of shit.

People who don't vote should be kicked out of America, period.

And he doesn't vote either. Oh the power of the JW cult.

Man I'm so over Prince and his absurd religious bullshit. I come her to chat with friends and to get music info from the music-non prince and of course general discussion is pure comedy, but, I can't remember the last time I heard one of my prince discs and I sure as hell haven't touched his recent output. I do believe I'm finally moving on...
