what was this 'religeous experience' prince claims to have had at an early age that convinced him god exists and started his search for spirituality that shines through in his lyrics.

What possesses the man to hold onto so many worthy songs like the original versions to Old Friends 4 Sale and Joy In Repetition and releases fodder instead?

Oh good - it wasn't just me that wondered that then...the number of times I went in that damn store and all it sold was condoms and crappy car stickers....or you could have a really expensive coffee whilst surfing the net for £5 per hour!!!!

The man definitely played guitar on "Act of Contrition" (I think he "produced" it as well, with the backwards stuff and all) and on the intro of "Like A Prayer", but I'm not sure if he wrote it. Anyone???

While we're on Madonna...what was Prince's reaction to Madonna calling him "stupid" or whatever when they were in the early stages of discussing their proposed musical "Grafitti Bridge"?

As for songs for others, did he really write "Stand Back" for Stevie Nicks, or did he just play the keyboards?

Wally Stafford, a dancer in the band. Prince asked Wally 2 borrow $50 and some sunglasses so he can impress his lover, but changes his mind and returns the items, telling Wally that sinse he is alone now, he has no one 2 spend it on. He did do the guitar intro to Like a Prayer.

Madonna and Partick Leonard wrote and Produced Like A Prayer. It came from ideas she had while working on David Mammet's Speed the Plow... and the loniliness she felt at that time. Madonna was insipred to write a little differntly but it's obviously a Madonna track. Simple phrases and elementary rhymes. Prince has a bit more complex phrasology and doesn't always go for couplets like Madonna does.

Madonna was just coming out of a very rough and rocky relationship with Sean and was rediscovering the power of Prayer... and starting on the path that would lead to her finding Kabballah in '96.

All Prince biographies and Madonna biographies say they worked on Love Song and By Any Means Nesscary... but that's it. Madonna wasn't impressed by his ideas for Graffiti Bridge or his ego. Remember she likes to be in Control.
