Does anyone remember in 1996 Prince talked about finishing his project called "The Dawn?" I remember reading an interview where he talked about a song that he almost put on Emancipation, but then decided to keep it for the Dawn because it was "too good." The article declared "The Dawn" as his ultimate statement. Who can tell me more? Thanks! | |

I have a mystery 2 add...
Did he ever actually believe that either Mayte could sing or Carmen could rap? I know there is the obvious answer of "No way, it was just a part of his grand design of seduction 2 work on an album with whoever he was sleeping with at the time" but I don't think that behavior is very Prince-like. I don't believe he would take time away from working on his own music 2 work with someone he didn't respect musically. So that leads me back 2 my question... Did he think anything from "Carmen Electra - Self-Titled" or "Mayte - Child Of The Sun" was vocally pleasant (the music goes without saying...if he had a hand in it, it was ALLright )? | |
