He said that her book is the first of many books that will come out from people that know Prince. Dr. Funk talks a little bit about Mayte on Hollywood Exes. He talks about people having connections to their first loves. Dr. Funk talks about how, in 2009, when

Prince was with Bria [Valente] and Bria was with Prince, Mayte was in a beauty salon and Bria walks in, and Mayte knew that Bria was Prince's new protege [Dr. Funk implies that Mayte posts about this situation on social media].

He continues that, unbeknownst to a lot of people, Bria would write unkind things about Prince on Dr. Funk's website. [I'm inferring that Bria would write these unkind things after she and Prince broke up.] Dr. Funk gives the example of Bria posting on something about Tiger Woods on Dr. Funk's website. Dr. Funk says Prince would read everything on his site which is why Bria would write things on there. He told Mayte about what Bria wrote and that Bria would put Prince on blast, and he said Mayte was pissed about Bria putting Prince on blast.

Dr. Funk said Prince wanted Dr. Funk to write a book. He won't write it immediately, he's not in a rush. He wants to cover Prince's entire career and also post-04/21/16.

Dr. Funk said, "It's going to be the first of many books, you guys gotta get used to it."

He [inaudible] gonna make her pay, she just had to show up. But her ego wouldn't let her come, and then put him on blast on social media to make it worse."

[The inaudible utterance is either "was" or "wasn't". I think it's "wasn't", as "wasn't" makes more sense in the context of the remarks, but I'm not 100% sure.]

He was a private person. We all understand that. We alll get it. He was private. If he was here, this book most likely wouldn't be coming out. But that's the problem."

I agree.He was much more relaxed and easy going.I used to watch the Sinbad interview all the time! He seemed very protective of her during it and I thought it was sweet the way he held on to her.

I agree. He seemed really happy and relaxed and comfortable in his own skin with her there. Too bad she couldn't make it 2011 show to see him. Maybe just maybe they could have reconciled. I remember her posting about wanting to go to the show and I heard Dr Funk say in the podcast mentioned a few posts back that he invited her to go with him but that she decided not to go.I think that would have been nice if she could have seen him as well.I loved that side of him that emerged when he was with Mayte.He seemed so young and carefree.

Thanks for posting all of that.I remember Mayte making the post about Bria and interesting that Dr F confirmed what some suspected at the time about her.Was he saying that Prince wouldn't have made Mayte pay if she had shown up? Not really clear on that.
