On my machine - "Breakfast Can Wait"'s album says "12/19/2012 7:05" - so we know it dates to at least then (but probably just the date of encoding).

I think the deranged Camille-esque voice on Breakfast Can Wait is quite possibly my favourite aspect of any Prince song for at least a decade (at least since The Rainbow Children, I haven't been caught by this level of delightful surprise). Just imagining him in the studio working that effect is a very promising sign for me. Loving the sound of the bass throughout the song, too.

Not sure about that because Screwdriver was promoted on 20pr1nc3, which isn't getting a physical release. There's also nothing confirmed about Monreaux being a physical release either is there?

I have friends with trained ears from Berklee. They usually cannot tell the difference between FLAC and 320. So there!

yea I guess. So Gio you never spent money/time listening to bootlegs with imperfect sound? I can't imagine why a fan would pass on the experince of new Prince just because it wasn't in your perfered format lol. Its not like you are even spending any real money (89 cents). I blow 4 times that amount on coffee which is gone. The music will be here forever.

I was being a little sarcastic! I've read reports of blind tests where people couldn't tell the difference or sometimes claimed the 320's to be better. I guess they had a 50/50 chance of being right. I honestly believe it's musical snobbery and if that same 320k version was converted to wav and offered for download nobody would ever notice.

No idea, I've asked that same question myself. At the moment it makes no sense. I though initially that 3rd eye was going to be for the underground/boot type stuff and that 20pr1nc3 was going to be more official. But now we can buy official stuff from 3rd eye. I'm confused but happy.

I agree and I'm a blu-ray snob. There is a clear and obvious difference between the two but I'd never refuse to watch something because it was only on DVD. Hell, I'd probably watch VHS if it was only available on that and was a great movie.
