Finally got the two files I wanted, listening to "Breakfast Can Wait" now. It is a kind of "mellow funky" RnB song with a jazzy Rhodes type of keyboard sound and a programmed beat. The lyrics are definately quite saucy for Prince these days!

And then at the end a Smurf like voice pops up, totally unexpected! It sounds very whacky, I had to laugh out loud!

Hmmm, what is this thing with Prince and non-working websites? I think I'll wait until the rush is over as well...

That Screwdriver Remix is interesting too! First thing I noticed is that the drums sound more muffled here, and there is a handclap in the mix now. The arrangement is quite different than the wav I bought yesterday, more instruments in the mix and a guitar solo in the middle of the song. Different backup singing as well. Don't now which one I like better yet.

got through..downloaded "screwdriver remix" although its more like an extended alternative version with more screaming guitar than the original..."breakfast can wait"..a mellow funk tune...i like it...reminds me of something else...happy with what i am hearing so far...lets hope we get lots more...i am ready for more after 2 and a half years of nothing..

But I have to listen to 'm for a couple of days before having a real opinion.

Fuck, at the end a hardcore rave stab sound enters the mix, don't dig that at all!!! The end is bit of an experiment gone wrong. Shame, it started nice!

I payed through my iPhone.. I can stream the dloads but does anyone know if/how I can save them?!

That voice in 'Breakfast Can Wait' kinda threw me too. It's horrible. The rest of the song is ok - sounds like a 3121-era outtake with NPGMC drums.

Liking the extended/heavier guitar parts in the SCr3wdriver remix.

Yeah, that voice definately took me by surprise, it is very loud in the mix and not a particularly cool sounding effect!

I like the add libs the voice does, but would have prefered them in a natural voice, or otherwise a better sounding FX voice.

Time to put your money where your mouths are. 88 cents for tracks is more than reasonable. No preview, who cares. If it allows the experiment to continue, then so be it. Website works fine, paypal payment = no worries about security.
