Where's Bill Russell & Kareem - both have Jordan beat.

Now that the season's over, the big question is - what will Carmelo do?

There just wasn't enough space. The image would have had to be at the very least, twice as wide. nod

Lebron stays and Miami will retool to give him a stronger supporting cast.

The big question this off-season is What Will Carmelo Do? Miami? Chicago? Houston? NY?

I can't see Anthony staying in NY if he wants to win now.....bad owner, bad infrastructure, no cap relief, no draft pick....Knicks are years from contending and Carmelo is 30.

Did everyone hear Lebron's soundbite before Game 5 last night. He told all the players in the huddle "Follow my lead".....well, looks like he should have been careful for what he wished for! What an arrogant doofus. Oh, I wonder if he will glare at Michael Jordan the next time he goes up for a dunk again. The disrespectful attitude this guy has is unbelievable.

LeBron should have yelled at his guys, "I can't do it alone...you mfers have to step it up!" Should have taken a page from Jordan, who could be brutal to his teammates, even Pippen. Sometimes you have to be a dick if cats aren't getting it done.

Chris Bosh is SO fucking soft. Rather shoot threes than take mfers down low.

Has it ever ocurred to any James fans that a true leader is a TEAM PLAYER? He's all about himself, not a team player and what you are seeing is the end result of what he's about....Amazing that people are blaming the other 12 guys on the roster for the team's problems. Whatever. Accept it that he's not a team player and will never be in Jordan's league.

Sorry, but you're dead wrong. Lebron is a team player. He wants to get his guys involved. He passes to teammates for open looks. If they're not hitting, what the fuck is he supposed to do? And comparing him to Jordan is stupid, whether it's from fans or media. They play different positions and have different styles. The player you compare Jordan to is Kobe, because their roles were similar. As I said before, Lebron's a hybrid scorer/facillitator.

I'm a Knicks fan, so fuck the Heat. But I'm sick of the ignorant bullshit folks are posting on social media, especially the Jordan and Kobe nut-huggers.

No, the conversation which you joined turned to the legacy of the Spurs in the event of a successful outcome in the NBA Finals. If you felt the convo was irrelevant you should have stayed out of it. It's not my fault you cannot comprehend content and context, inabilities which you regularly display.

That was an old fashion ass whoopin. spank Congrats to the Spurs.

Retool? Eveybody goes but Lebron? D'Wade, the wheels have fallen off, limp away now before folks start talking about, I remember when. I think Mello follows the money and gets fooled by Jackson he can win NY, that is if Mellow wants to win or wants the cash.

The Heat's future depends on Wade, not Lebron. Will Wade give the Heat a hometown discount, or will he hold them hostage?

I do, because it might have a negative impact on my Knicks. I won't be happy if our best player decides to take his talents to South Beach.

Congratulations to the Spurs. They played excellent during the Finals

and deserve to be NBA Champions. LeBron James is still the best player

in basketball right now. I would take Mr. James in Philly right now over any player in the league. I look forward to the offseason to see what

happens in the draft and free agency.

So, the so-called "best basketball player since the beginning of time" lost to the person who became the MVP of the entire series and has been lauded as one of the most talented players in the league? It's amazing how the losers are being treated as if they won anyway. But, it's obvious that Leonard shutdown James and was a big part of the TEAM EFFORT that made San Antonio's win so intense.

WOW, ^ the sentence structure from hell (mine) corrected. lol How can Wade hold the Heat hostage? Wade's knees are creeking. The coach rested the guy all season for the finals and he still had no lift. It slipped my mind Wade's is a franchise player; so I don't Riley would just kick him to the curb. All future rings go through Mr. James. The question is, what pieces can Riley find to help James? I really don't think Mello will leaving NY.

NY can offer Carmelo the most loot, but he's 30 and doesn't want to go through another shit season. The Knicks are 2-3 years from being a serious contender. He might not want to wait that long, so anything is possible.

This is exactly why I don't think James is that great. This is a team sport. If he can't find a way to be a team player, then I think that calls into question his ability to really be effective as a basketball player. What difference does it make if you score a lot of points, tell everyone to pass the ball to you and you lose anyway? I couldn't believe that he told the other guys "follow my lead". What? I know teams have leaders at the forefront more than others but can't these idiots see how this might be humiliating for the other guys? He doesn't have a team player mentality. Maybe he should take up golf or tennis, individual sports that could really be all about him....He'll never be in Jordan's league or Kobe's lead.

disbelief lol

WTF???

If Lebron passes to open teammates and they brick, he's accused of not taking over like Jordan. If he takes over, he's accused of being selfish. Dude can't catch a break - from what I see, Lebron is all about team. Kobe?????? You know how many times Kobe's been labeled a selfish ballhog and a jacker? I've seen him go one on three and put up the ugliest shots - FOH! lol

You don't get to four straight finals being selfish. For the past three years, the Heat offense was pretty fluid. He's had to take a bigger role this season because as Mitch Lawrence wrote, Wade fell off a cliff, Bosh was hit-and-miss, they tried to get a bench on the cheap, letting Mike Miller go(bad mistake) and importing retreads like Michael Beasley and Greg Oden(worse mistake). Miami's rim protection was pathetic. Duncan's eyes lit up seeing the undersized Haslem guarding him.

Without Lebron's guys holding up their end, the Heat were no match for a Spurs team that plays basketball the way it should be played, just like the Knicks did back in the 70s tough defense, ball-movement offense.

Battier retired....Ray Allen should do the same.
