So, WHICH SUPERHERO is NexT?

With the success of the Avengers, it seems that a Justice League movie is getting serious now.

So I'm sure that they're reviewing every damned comic book character out there trying to get the next blockbuster superhero movie.

nod

If you could choose the next movie hero, who would it be?

Tell us...what's your favorite as-yet-undeveloped superhero that you want to see brought to the big screen???

question

Wonder Woman, hopefully an actress with big firm tits, hot legs and meaty ass, and a hot love interest, hot sex scene and all

Above all others, I want a Legion of Super-Heroes movie. But I want it done right. I want them to keep the vast scope of the series, along with the sci-fi elements.

Then I want a Shazam movie, and I also want Mary Marvel and Capt. Marvel Jr. to be in it. Junior is one of my favorite comic characters and costumes ever.

A good Wonder Woman movie just has to happen.

He's kind of cheesy, but I think Hawkman could make a kickass film. (Thor is about as cheesy as a comic can possibly be and they managed to make a decent flick out of him, so Hawkman should be easy-peasy.)

And I really, really want a New Mutants movie, with the original members plus Magma and Magik.

But now that you've resurrected it...I'll answer;

ANTMAN

Supposedly it's been greenlighted

Ant-Man is a movie now in Early Production and the twelfth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will be the first film in "Phase 3"

I vote for Hawk Girl .. she is complicated .. natalie portman could play her .. she is lying the whole time she is in justice league .. dr. fate could make an appearance .. and she's got those wings .. so none of this 'secret identitity' crapola.

I was going to say; "She (Natalie Portman) is already in Thor"...but...if Ryan Reynolds can be both Deadpool and Green Lantern or if Chris Evans can be both Human Torch and Captain America...then nevermind that.

Movie Talk

Superboy Cleared for Big Screen

Superboy may be flying into a theater near you.

The same day the world celebrated Superman's 75th birthday on Thursday, Warner Bros. won a longstanding legal battle to gain full license to make a film about the DC Comics character.

But if you think that means we'll be seeing a version of "Smallville" on the silver screen – think again. Up until 2011, Superboy had always been an origin story, depicting Superman in his youth. But now DC Comics has reinvented Superboy as a Kryptonian clone.

And if we're guessing correctly, Warner Bros. will likely choose the modern version of the DC character, perhaps opting to break the story out into its own franchise. (Especially since the upcoming "Man of Steel" is delving deeply into Superman's origins. It would be somewhat redundant to pursue the original Superboy storyline.)

* Wonder Woman

* New Mutants

* TONS of possibility still left in as-yet-unseen iterations of the X-Men

* Cloak and Dagger (probably wouldn't be that interesting, but I'd just love to see a darkforce mutant onscreen)

i can't wait until movies are 3d and interactive, so that we are actually sitting at the table in the cafe where the conversation between superheroes is taking place, with action all around us...

it is...there is a place in Ft Worth TX (King Tut on Magnolia Av) that has it but apparently is is not a very traditional version. But it is good!

But in case no one got the joke: at the end of the avengers the are eating shawarma.

I'm kind of surprised Black Lightning hasn't been made into a movie, or isn't at least in the works. Tons of potential there. But maybe there's some creator/rights issue problem.

Has anyone seen the ill-fated 2011 Wonder Woman TV pilot? They dropped the ball on most aspects of production, but the action sequences weren't sooo bad. In fact, the bullet-deflecting sequence was every bit as dynamic as those from the '70s show.

It was pretty stupid. Mysogynist, though? hmmm I didn't think so.
