sad danger lurks everywhere no matter the neighboorhood or how big or small the event...

You know this sounds cliche but i really have always wondered how someone could do something like this... and kill, injur or mentally harm people they don't even know... people they never spent time with... and yet they want to end this persons life or change it forever in violence.

Human beings are fucked up and crazy creatures.

I think the news doesn't want to freak out the locals..

they are straight up lying on the local news casts...

NOW they changed their story from mechanical fire to "explosion, related fire at JFK" and Tufts Medical Center is on lockdown and the swat team is there, possible bomb threat there too.

disbelief

Streets are now closed off.

They just confirmed that the JFK library is not related... It was mechanical failure...

It's looking more like domestic and not international ...

Also for some reason the NY Post is reporting 12 dead and that's false ...
So far it's 2 dead and up to 100 injured.

Cellphone service was shut down in Boston in case the bombs were remotely detonated.

As of this point, no one has been arrested or listed as a potential suspect, but the police are questioning several people including some of the injured. One of the two dead victims has been reported to be an eight year old girl. sad sad

At first, I thought it may have been done by a North Korean spy to instigate an attack on North Korea by the USA, but my gut tells me this is some domestic terrorist related either to a white supremacist group, some NRA gun nut, or some anti-abortion fanatic. mad pissed disbelief

I just wanna say this:

Fuck the media.

Fuck racists of all sorts.

Fuck prejudiced people finding someone or SOMETHING to blame for this.

Just pray for the people of Boston and for the people who are killed by bombings elsewhere too (like in Iraq).

Pray for the world.

Whatever happens, it will get dealt with but wish everyone well and do NOT make it political.

That's all.

Apparently one of the bombs was put inside a mailbox. As you see in the after photo, the mailbox has been blown to smithereens.

1999

Songwriters: NELSON, PRINCE ROGERS

Don't worry, I wont hurt u

I only want u 2 have some fun

I was dreamin when I wrote this
Forgive me if it goes astray
But when I woke up this mornin
Coulda sworn it was judgment day
The sky was all purple,
There were people runnin everywhere
Tryin 2 run from the destruction,
U know I didn't even care

Cuz they say two thousand zero zero party over,
Oops out of time
So tonight Im gonna party like it's 1999

I was dreamin when I wrote this
So sue me if I go 2 fast
But life is just a party, and parties werent meant 2 last
War is all around us, my mind says prepare 2 fight
So if I gotta die Im gonna listen 2 my body tonight

Yeah, they say two thousand zero zero party over,
Oops out of time
So tonight Im gonna party like it's 1999
Yeah

Lemme tell ya somethin
If u didn't come 2 party,
Don't bother knockin on my door
I got a lion in my pocket,
And baby he's ready 2 roar
Yeah, everybodys got a bomb,
We could all die any day
But before I'll let that happen,
Ill dance my life away

Oh, they say two thousand zero zero party over,
Oops out of time
Were runnin outta time (tonight Im gonna)
So tonight we gonna (party like it's 1999)
We gonna, oww

Say it 1 more time
Two thousand zero zero party over oops,
Out of time
No, no (tonight Im gonna)
So tonight we gonna (party like it's 1999)
We gonna, oww

Alright, it's 1999
You say it, 1999
1999
1999 don't stop, don't stop, say it 1 more time
Two thousand zero zero party over,
Oops out of time
Yeah, yeah (tonight Im gonna)
So tonight we gonna (party like it's 1999)
We gonna, oww

Yeah, 1999 (1999)
Don'tcha wanna go (1999)
Don'tcha wanna go (1999)
We could all die any day (1999)
I don't wanna die,
Id rather dance my life away (1999)
Listen 2 what Im tryin 2 say
Everybody, everybody say party
Cmon now, u say party
That's right, everybody say (party)
Cant run from the revelation, no (party)
Sing it 4 your nation yall (party)
Tell me what you're singin, baby say (party)
Telephones a-ringin, mama (party)
Cmon, cmon, u say (party)
Everybody, [two times] (party)
Work it down 2 the ground, say (party)
(party)
Come on, take my body, baby (party)
That's right, cmon, sing the song (party)
(party)
That's right (party)
Got a lion in my pocket mama, say (party)
Oh, and he's ready 2 roar (party)

It wasn't the runners who were hurt... it was the spectators that were hurt most by the bombs.

The Boston Marathon is a heavily attended event, people line up to watch the thousands of runners along almost the ENTIRE stretch of the route. More than any other race. That's what makes it fun for the runners and supporters alike. nod

Tons of folks on the sidelines who support the runners were hurt... yup all those non-runners and I would have been one of them hurt ones if I decided to go like my sister and her friends were. sad

I unplugged for a bit... made sure everyone was OK and am prayerful to all the families of the wounded and those who lost loved ones.

Is it just me or this sounds like a massive failure from the city authorities to keep the public safe during a city-wide event?

Bombs don't have legs. Those who carried them to the location have obviously been passing through various entry points unhampered (while I'm being searched like a criminal every time I take a plane). Despite claims of 'we don't know yet' by the media, I believe there are people who do know what's going on, and some of them have been closing their eyes and giving the culprits the green light.

I think people never expected any sort of bomb attack in Boston.

This caught people unawares, they are shocked to see this sort of thing happen here. Yes, terrorists attacks happen, but not here... not Boston, until today.

I think if this was expected they would of handled the security of the route differently.

confuse Please pardon me, but could you clarify? Which are you suggesting: negligence or active complicity on the part of authorities? And in either case, are you suggesting the media are somehow in cahoots?
