Explosion at finish line of Boston Marathon CNN is reporting that there has been some kind of explosion at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
More details are not known at this time.

Two explosions... spectators are saying it came from trash cans... officials do not want to comment.
lennox blown out, people lost limbs, race halted there was a run through the Prudential Mall, gridlock traffic and chaos. No evacuation done yet... they are still trying to get a handle on the situation, the runners were redirected a block over. | |

This is very sad, be it from terrorism or accident (speculations that it was an electrical explosion).

As a runner who has run several marathons, I am extremely upset about this. If this is indeed a terrorist act, the perpretators are a bunch of evil, heartless human beings. My heart goes out to the victims, and hopefully no one dies from their injuries | |

My sister and her friends were there, supporting a her best friend in the race... they were injured but are OK. They were feet away from one of the explosions. Minor cuts.

I am relieved for my family but so sad and upset still... they set a huge fire at the JFK Library and Boston seems turned upsidedown right now... Washington DC has raised an alert for terrorist attacks.
