Question for male orgers regarding hair

Why do you cut your hair? Is it because...

-Gets too long and hairy

-Conformity/Job

-Look better with short hair

-Seasonal/weather

-Fathertime-Balding/greying

-Try Rock star look but failed

-Meh I just have bad hair

-Other reasons

I had dreads for 7 years in college. Loved 'em. But they got big, heavy and cumbersome. Since cutting them, I've opted for increasingly shorter styles, and I now buzz my head all but bald every week.

Why?

It's cheap

It's low maintenance

It's feels light and free

It's a simple and classic look that suits me well

It's workable wherever I go and fits with any style clothing I wear

I have very wavy hair that becomes unmanageable when long.

Last year I flirted with growing my hair out but I couldn't take the mess.

I'm getting old (and stressed out beyond belief) so my hair is horribly thin now. I muss it up in the front to give the illusion of fullness, but the sides are buzzed short.

You're handsome regardless of how thin you're hair is getting. hug

Bald men can be very attractive. nod

I just wish more of them shaved. They seem to want to compensate

for lack of hair on their head by putting hair on their faces.

No need for that. Bald is beautiful. nod

Sometimes I have it groomed how JT has his cut now, other times I do what I call a disconnect where its long on top and clean off on the sides. Sometimes I cut and shave my own hair and make it look like a insane persons, varying lenghts. It grows back, just depends on what mood I'm in.

I hate waiting/paying for a bad hair cut, I can do that myself. Plus I'm not very good at keeping appointments.

Yes it can be.

My husband is bald not by choice though. lol He was traumatized for a minute but after I held his hand and in father shaved the little that he had left, he looks fine as ever. biggrin

I keep it very short on the sides and a little bit on top (just a little longer in the front so I can wear it a bit differently).

Easier to manage. I have extremely thick hair. If i let it grow out, it curls up something awful and just looks a mess. I was not blessed with good hair. Someone once told me I have pubic hair on my head. no no no! lol

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I cut it for seasonal reasons.

It gets too hot in summer

About every 2-3 summers
