If we consider HHH a McMahon now.....

what is always funny 2 me is that the storyline of hhh and stephanie was that they got "divorced" then all of sudden RL comes in and they are married etc

No one believed that story line anyway. They knew they were really married so most fans didn't really bothered with it. I know I didn't.

lol yeah that's partially why I stopped watching it. It's like these writers they got now don't know how to make a story convincing anymore. Even the wrestlers don't even know what to do half the time.

Right! After what they did with Rock and Cena, I was like "fuck y'all WWF". Judging from posts here, the WWF is falling apart and is struggling to get back up. They've had to put an end to some of their pay-per-view shows because no one was watching them. I wonder how much was made during the Royal Rumble.

I think it's the ultimate fail, him coming back as this version of the undertaker. (I forget exactly what happened. Was it the buried alive match with Vince w/ Kane, that "killed" him off? lol ) I mean we had met his then wife Sara, and he was badass Mark Calaway, biker from hell. perfect, the WWE had grown up shrug

lurking he could have even came back monday night as a revised 'Taker. Remember when Mick Foley was on his last legs and he pulled out Cactus Jack?(against Triple H as well nontheless) lol

[Edited 2/5/12 13:01pm]

It was the best way. "Biker Taker" got lame really quick and they had to find a way to bring the old persona back. I mean, he even used Limp Bizkit song as his theme lol

lol yeah and this worked...

I remember the Cactus Jack "comeback" lol

I don't know, I'm guessing the Taker is going to do one more Wrestlemania and then retire. He can't be short on money, right?

Yeah, he's prob good. He does real estate lol

If anything, they've added MORE pay per views to their schedule lol 2011 had 14 PPVs, some of them were barely 3 weeks apart. This year though, has 12 which is one PPV a month. Looks like they realized folks weren't willing to spend $50 every 2 weeks

* Royal Rumble - January 29th - St. Louis
* Elimination Chamber - February 19th - Milwaukee
* WrestleMania 28 - April 1st - Miami
* Extreme Rules - April 29th - Chicago
* Over The Limit - May 20th - Raleigh
* Fatal 4 Way - June 17th - Toronto
* TLC - July 15th - Las Vegas
* SummerSlam - August 19th - Los Angeles
* Night of Champions - September 23rd - Dallas
* Hell in a Cell - October 28th - Philadelphia
* Survivor Series - November 18th - Phoenix
* Bragging Rights - December 16th - Memphis

And Survivor Series

I'd bring back King Of The Ring change Night Of Champions and bring back Clash Of The Champions, add War Games to Survivor Series and bring back Starrcade

Please don't bring back Starrcade! disbelief

They already belittled the Great American Bash...not Starrcade!

I'd love to see the WarGames again though (if they are allowed to bleed). Rumor has it that HHH has been pushing for it, but Vince is hesitant.

And yes...WCW/JCP were doing "Night of Champions" shows years ago. I think the first was in April 1984 in New Jersey, Flair defending against Steamboat. If I remember correctly, Flair wasn't supposed to drop the NWA title to Kerry Von Erich, but Kerry's brother died. Flair wanted to give the Von Erichs the win on their big show in memory of their brother, so he got permission from the NWA board to drop the title...they agreed, as long as he had the title back by "Night of Champions". Flair dropped it in early May, won it back a couple of weeks later in Japan, and defended against Steamboat as scheduled. Ahh...the good old days.

Yup...back when it meant something to be a champion.

When Savage died, I was showing my 16 year old son youtube vids of the Macho Man. Several promos were him as the Intercontinental champion. I was giddy, reminiscing and what have you, and my son looked me dead in the face and said "So what...he's the Intercontinental champion. Is that supposed to be a big deal?"

I damn near fell over, but I explained how back in the day it was a huge deal. He seriously didnt understand. Not his fault though, is it?

Sting Says He Almost Joined WWE Last Year, Wants To Face The Undertaker
By Daniel Pena
Feb 5, 2012 - 1:18:06 PM

Sting appeared on 97.9/105.5 KISS-FM on Thursday to promoteImpact Wrestling at Wembley Arena. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

Which wrestler he'd like to face that he hasn't yet: "I'd have to say the top one... Undertaker. I think wrestling fans have wanted to see Sting vs. Undertaker for years. I think between his gimmick and mine, it could be pretty cool. We could do some pretty cool stuff."

If he has any regrets over not joining WWE: "Yes and no. Who wouldn't want to say that they've done at least one WrestleMania? I'm not going to lie to you, I wish I had done one of those. I've had great conversations with him [Vince McMahon] over the years and been real close on three or four different occasions. There was always a need met or desire of mine met with WCW or with TNA, so I stayed."

When was the last time he almost joined WWE: "Last year... we were very, very close."

"We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

That's so disheartening. Really, it is. Because the time to have done it and when all the planets aligned was last year. He was contractually able to jump over to WWE and Taker's opponent had not been decided yet. Hell, they even made vignettes for him (and yes, they were for Sting, but once he didn't sign they said they were really for Taker; they were made so dark and mysterious that it could've been for either, which was the point all along).

Now, this might be Taker's last WM, and I don't think either of them will have what it takes to give a helluva show next year. Sting will be 54 and Taker will be 48 by the time the next WM comes around. And let's face it, "dark" Sting has only been around since 1997. He was "surfer' Sting for his entire career before that, so it wasn't until the 2000s that folks didn't mind seeing him vs. Taker.

YES He will be but it's so over. What he's giving now is NOT deadman so he might as well just be Mark. If he's gonna get his ass kicked he still needs to sit back up. Where's his mystical power? someone please get an urn... lol

The Rock tweeted the following on Saturday night, promoting his return to RAW on February 27th:

"@JohnCena @WWE RAW 2/27. Portland, OR. The night The Rock slaps the feminine napkin out of John Cena. #UWhiningb---h"

The Rose Garden in Portland, the site of RAW on 2/27, is advertising the following about the Rock's return:

"Be prepared to be electrified as 'the most electrifying man in entertainment,' The Rock, will make his first ever visit to the city of Portland."

And shortly after The Rock's tweet, John Cena tweeted the following reply:

"Another classy response from my fav movie star. Just to make sure..ill pencil u in for RAW. Cause a lot of times u say you'll be there..but we all know how that one ends. And please..keep up the mangina talk..ill flip it into a Tampax deal smile have a nice night Dwayne. RISE ABOVE HATE.

So whomever said that this time Shawn would be the ref for Taker/HHH Wrestlemania may just be right.....

See, THIS is why I usually don't watch Raw live and just download it the next day. This has been absolutely one of the WORST Raws in a long time. 200 video packages (including a package showing a package from earlier in the night), and a boring ass main event.

The only good points were Jericho's promo and ME win and the announcement that my fav of all time, HBK, will be at Raw next week. Other than that, utter shit. As I type, there's still a couple of minutes left, but really, unless Brock Lesnar comes in and clears house, this will remain the worst Raw (so far) of 2012. disbelief
