*facepalm* What in THE fuck was that??? "Somebody call my mama?" So, what he's a combo of Slick and Ernest The Cat Miller? They waited all those weeks to debut THAT shit?! Well, I'll give 'em a little bit of credit, at least. He didn't come out there as some boring "monster". The chicks' bodies were cool. But I can see Mr. Clay from Planet Funk (LMAO) being almost as much of a joke as Satino Marella. GTFOH...disbelief

Oh, and Edge being inducted is cool and all, but Randy Savage BETTER be getting inducted this year AND be the headline inductee! Edge was a jobber compared to Savage as far as impact on pro wrestling's concerned!

Edge. disbelief Waaaaay too soon and I'm not so sure it's deserved.

And Vince better have already set up Flair being at WM. The Horsemen going in without Ric is beyond ridiculous, even by WWF standards.

Yeah, they showed a video promo about the Horsemen getting inducted.

Interesting that it's the Flair/Arn/Tully/Windham version of the Horsemen.

Probably because Ole Anderson has as much of a chance of getting inducted in the HOF as Chris Benoit does.

I think Dean Malenko should get inducted along with the other Horsemen.

That was some shit, wasn't it?! Everybody expected this big monster to come out, and here come Ernest Miller Pt. Deux. Wasn't he supposed to be all pissy and mad those times when Laryngitis was on the phone telling him he'd debut the following week each week? Hard to see THIS gimmick getting pissed at anything.

I understand them not putting him in the Monster Heel route because they have enough of those and they need more faces on the rouster. He'd just be a more rounder, lighter version of Mark Henry, but turning him into the 2012 Akeem The African Dream?! disbelief

I really do hope Flair is there and on-stage for the Four Horsemen's HOF induction.

Regarding Ric Flair, this will be the first time WWE has ever inducted someone contracted to a rival promotion into their Hall. Sources indicate that Triple H called Ric Flair on January 9th, before RAW aired and informed him of the Horsemen induction. Flair was at the TNA Impact tapings in Orlando.

It appears key people in TNA weren’t aware of the induction until it aired on RAW. As of January 10th, no officials in TNA had spoken to Flair about it. Ric Flair and Vince McMahon do talk so the idea of inducting the Horsemen was likely brought up in the past. It’s been discussed internally ever since WWE made amends with JJ Dillon and Arn Anderson alone was expected for the Hall of Fame in Atlanta last year.

WWE wants Flair to be there and likely wants him to be involved in the Network when it launches.

Smackdown Tapings (to be aired on 1/13/12):

DARK MATCH
Ryback def. Percy Watson.

NXT
Alicia Fox cuts a promo but is interrupted by Maxine.

Alicia Fox def. Maxine.

Trent Barreta def. Tyler Reks. After the match, Barreta is attacked by Reks and Curt Hawkins only for Yoshi Tatsu to come in and make the save.

The Usos def. JTG and Tyson Kidd.

Johnny Curtis def. Alex Riley.

Darren Young comes out and cuts a promo but is interrupted by Titus O'Neill. A brawl breaks out and Young vs. O'Neill has been announced for next week.

SUPERSTARS
Wade Barrett def. Yoshi Tatsu.

SMACKDOWN
The show started with Daniel Bryan, who came out to a good amount of heat. A "you suck" chant broke out. Daniel played the role of innocent heel. Mark Henry came out to some cheers (face turn?). He said that he would face the winner of the main event next week for the World Heavyweight Championship.

1. Justin Gabriel defeated Heath Slater. Gabriel won with with Hornswoggle's help

The order of events may be off.

Backstage, Santino Marella gave Teddy Long some "Santino Original" ideas when David Otunga walked in. Teddy made a Santino vs. Otunga match for later.

2. David Otunga defeated Santino Marella. No, this isn't a typo, David Otunga beat Santino.

3. Brodus Clay squashed Tyson Kidd. Clay won in 20 seconds or maybe less.

4. Ted DiBiase defeated Drew McIntyre. Hunico was on commentary.

Wade Barrett came out and cut a promo on Sheamus and challenged him to a match on next week's Smackdown.

Cody Rhodes came out and ran down Laredo. He got huge heat.

5. Cody Rhodes defeated Ezekiel Jackson.

6. Sheamus defeated Jinder Mahal.

7. Tamina defeated Natalya.

Daniel Bryan came out for the main event and A.J. was by his side. She must have botched it because she was supposed to come out after Daniel, so they re-taped the entrance, which caused confusion.

8. Daniel Bryan fought Big Show to a no-contest. I was really into this match until A.J. came and kept sticking out her ass to me. Anyways, they brawled outside and Daniel ran away from Big Show, who chased him and then ran into A.J. and knocked her out. Big Show broke down in tears as A.J. was stretchered out of the arena. Bryan kept yelling at Big Show, saying it was all his fault.

They almost had no choice. There's no way they could launch their network in two and a half months. They're nowhere close to having all of their ducks in a row yet, and they would've just been throwing pure shit on the air so early (which is kinda how they do Raw and Smackdown now that I think about it) with not many cable companies subscribing to it yet.

The WWE Network delay has been confirmed as several key people involved were told this past week. Nobody knows the new launch date yet but people were told to get rid of all April 1st mentioned. Word going around at RAW was that it will launch this Fall.

Vince McMahon is looking to get more Legends involved with the Network and has reportedly reached out to people who in the past he wouldn't have.

A reality show, presumably Legends House, will begin filming soon and will go for 21 weeks, including post-production. The house will be in the Palm Springs area and 10 episodes will be shot.

DDP lifts the lid on his WWE exit

DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE has lifted the lid on the storyline that finished his top-tier wrestling career.

Former grappling star Page, 55, joined WWE after Vince McMahon purchased rival promotion WCW in 2001.

But the first angle he was involved in was controversial and saw him play a stalker who creepily tracked the Undertaker's wife.

It was not well received by fans and Page never became a top draw in WWE. He left the company and retired from the ring shortly afterwards.

But typically for the man who once played a character called Positively Page, he has no regrets about how his WWE tenure started.

He said: "I thought, coming in, that the stalker angle was going to be awesome. When people ask me about that I say, 'Hey, I made the decision, I have to live with it'.

"It's amazing to me how many people it bothered. They knew that I was a top guy and they didn't use me correctly, but I agreed to it originally and that was a mistake.

"Vince and Shane McMahon told me coming in that they had this great idea and I was going to be working with their No1 babyface.

"I didn't really like it because it was about me stalking someone else's wife.

"I would look across the table at Kim [DDP's beautiful ex-wife] and nobody could compare. It was ridiculous, it took out the believability factor.

"There are some people who loved that angle with me and Taker, which I don't understand. It was definitely not the highlight of my career by any stretch of the imagination.

"The main reason I jumped when I did was because I was six months away fromt urning 46. How much longer could I really do this at the level that I did it? There was only so long I could run at that pace.

"I get fans telling me they were upset with how WWE treated me but I say, 'Dude, let it go!' I already achieved everything I ever dreamed of."

Since retiring from the ring, Page has developed his Yoga for Regular Guys programme into various workouts.

He added: "If you knew the deal I cut with Warner Brothers to get DDPYoga back, owning it, and branching it out, it would blow your mind.

"But I'm only smart enough to cut that deal because I dropped the ball with WWE when I came in.

"I dropped it, I don't blame Vince. I've got a lot of respect for Vince and everything he has done for the business.

"There are so many guys that have negative, bad feelings after they retire. You've heard them. I'm not living that as I lived a dream on so many different levels."

Horsemen ride into Hall of Fame

LEGENDARY wrestling faction the Four Horsemen will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania.

They will be joined by multiple-time WWE world champion Edge, who retired through injury last year.

And memorable 90's baddie Yokozuna, who died in 2000, could also be among the inductees.

The decision to honour the Horsemen has caused controversy among wrestling fans and critics due to how many times the line-up changed throughout the years.

A WWE press release announced the names to be inducted as founder members Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, along with Barry Windham and manager JJ Dillon.

An official statement said: "While the Four Horsemen would undergo many transformations over the years, none would ever be as paramount as Flair, Anderson, Blanchard, Windham and Dillon."

The key name left off the list is Ole Anderson, the fourth original Horseman, while other missing members include Lex Luger, Sid Vicous and Brian Pillman.

Far from being annoyed at being overlooked, Luger told the Busted Open Radio Show: "I think Barry Windham would be a splendid choice for getting inducted. What a great honour for him.

"If they are not going to go with Ole then Barry is a great choice.

"I'm going to be down in South Beach for WrestleMania — I wouldn't miss it.

"I will be in the audience cheering on the guys who gets selected as the Four Horsemen. I'm just thrilled that I was a part of it at all."

It is currently unclear whether Flair will attend the WWE ceremony, as he is employed by rival firm TNA.

Additional inductees for the 2012 Hall of Fame will be announced on Raw and Smackdown over the coming weeks.
