Everything I do around this time for others (and most of the year as well) are guided by love and compassion. That has nothing to do with Jesus as people who don't believe do the same. This holiday has nothing to do with Jesus aside from being named for him.

Aside from KimRachell, I don't even think I've heard most of my org friends even mention him.

But it's up to us to remind the world of that fact and to live by example.....

(lurks in GD...)

Not in the spirit either.. Haven't been celebrating Xmas for decades, I don't buy gifts, nor offer cards, for me now it's just an ordinary day, that I don't work and no I'm not in a sect! wink

The only thing that I love about Xmas is.. well in fact there are 2...

- Xmas lights.. I just can't help but feel like a kid looking at the lights outside, I love it.

- Xmas specials on TV, they shows all the Tintin, Asterix and stuff... I LOVE that!

Yeah, I love Graffiti Bridge movie, so what? ''Oooooooooooh Montreal, say it!''
If you can't be nice to someone on the net, you probably ain't worth much talking to in real life either.

Love the shirt. I'd wear it holiday shopping. This time of year has just become a habit.

Now... Nursing homes are FULL of sad lonely people who would give ANYTHING for someone to drop by and bring them a cookie, or a small gift, or just sit and listen to them tell stories.. Adopt a grandparent! Yes, its not really quite the same, but seeing their faces and the feeling of getting their hugs is TREMENDOUS! mushy

Christmas seriously is no fun for me at all anymore.

I pretty much go through the motions, but even that is difficult this year.

I wish I felt differently. My daughters deserve better.

I'm firmly planted in denial

My church is having a Christmas Concert on the 16th.

The lead organist had invited me to something else before Thanksgiving, but it was when my Granny was really sick, so I told him that my family was not willing to commit at that time.

He came up to me Sunday, making small talk about this program. That ass said, "My condolences. Now I guess you guys have no excuse for this program." mad

Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

I think I'm taking my cat when we visit my Grandmother this Christmas (let me be clear that she gets multiple visits from family members on a weekly basis - this is just something special for Christmas). She used to love cats and when my cat is in his carrier he just sits there when the door is open (could be because he's fat and lazy lol ).

I put my tree up the night before Thanksgiving - also put the lights out front and in the side windows. That way everything felt all festive when people came over for Football and food.

He needs a kick in the teeth.

He's a reminder why the holidays suck for me. Motherfuckers think it's all about them.
