I saw a couple of episodes during their courtship, and frankly Girl, these two were ill matched and unevenly yoked from the start. The couple’s recent issues played out in the tabloid world and culminated with Kardashian filing for divorce after 72 days of marriage.

Humphries, a free-agent forward who played for the New Jersey Nets a season ago, married Kardashian in a lavish, made-for-reality-TV wedding on Aug. 20 in California. As the Nets planned to move into a brand new Brooklyn arena for the 2012-13 season, his relationship with Kardashian appealed to the franchise’s business and marketing side.

Kardashian lent some sort of celebrity status to the franchise’s courtside seats, but that was never going to influence the Nets’ basketball officials on how they worked to re-sign him. Nets management does have interest in bringing back Humphries, but purely based on his market value for rebounding and defense.

TMZ reported that Kardashian filed for divorce on Monday morning, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Color me unsurprised. And people wonder why marriage is a joke now.

It comes in support of earlier reports that suggested Kardashian wed Humphries in a marriage of convenience as she uses him as a sexy 6'9" accessory on the red carpet.

According to Wetpaint.com, before the brunette beauty met her new husband, she was so eager to date a basketball player that E! Television wanted to fix with her, RadarOnline.com reported.

Wetpaint claimed that E! Television staff contacted the New York Knicks to ask if hunky Italian basketball star Danilo Gallinari would be interested in dating Kim.

"They asked if he would be interested in dating her and being on a reality show," a source told the website.

According to the insider, both E! and Kardashian were interested in having her date a big New York athlete for the debut season of 'Kourtney and Kim Take New York', which premiered in January 2011.

The insider said "Danilo said he would love to meet Kim but was not interested in dating her or being on a reality show."

"Even though E! explained it would be great for his career, Gallinari turned the offer down." the insider added.

It's like, no Dummy, outfits don't work out as planned. Casseroles for dinner don't work out as planned. They really could have saved themselves this bull-ish by having pre-marital counseling to gage where they were emotionally and spiritually and teach them how to communicate and compromise...but oh wait, she didn't even want them to pay for his home pastor's ticket to the wedding- Kris was supposed to use his frequent flier miles for that Oh well, I guess really working this through beforehand prolly would have proven to be, like, so annoying and a total headache
