I'm thinking he's out of my league anyway.

Out of YOUR league?

I hope you mean he is too far below you to get your attention.

Him better than you...pfff

Ok, this dude messaged me today.

I figured these guys put their pics up on a public site, it should be ok to post here.

'He's cute too.

Prettier than no. 1 tho.

I hope he's posing, cause that face looks douchey, despite being pretty

Good. Because its not anymore true than it is with any other type of person.

I believe there is a category of menfolks out there that ARE doormats for whatever reason, and they blame their lack of breaks on their misconception that what they are is NICE.

IMO, a nice guy is gentle and kind to children and animals, enjoys spending time with his lady, does what he says he will, doesn't abuse substances or become violent, has an even temperament, loves his family, has positive outlook, LOVES sex, is a good friend and basically doesn't have issues that make him a dick. None of these are mutually exclusive to being hot, or assertive or ambitious or anything else that one might assume are attractive traits.

Totally agree. And in my experience, my friends who have gone for the stereotypical "nice guy" have nearly always ended up with a dick who just used that shit to get his foot in the door. A genuine nice guy could start off being a tough nut to crack, but end up with all the qualities you list above (or other good ones) once you get through that outer shell.

This is the bigger guy I've been talking to. Again, the hair is not good. He's seems like a nice dude though.

Oh, he's in some band or something and that's why he has this douchey pic...it's from his facebook page actually.

He's cute, but not cut-a-bitch-while-it's-still-prime-time-at-the-bar-for cute.

If it were last call and I'd had a few (who am I kidding??) in me I might get territorial.

He also doesn't make me wonder if I might have to make a run for it in the middle of the night.

I don't know. neutral

Yes, he's not my type really...but I maybe need to be more open to different types of guys.

Not bad.

He has potential to be huskier than the pic lets on (under chin is suspect), not that this is a bad thing, just something to consider.

Definitely blowable tho. shrug

If you're feelin' it you need to go for it. With this guy or whoever. Can't hurt to try, really. And on the plus side, like I said before, maybe you meet some people who don't suck in general.

Yeah, totally. It's going to be hard for me because I struggle with self esteem issues, so I'm always so afraid of them being disappointed when we meet face to face.

Again, I know this. That's why I give you such a hard time about it, but also give you so much encouragement. Like I said, it can't hurt to try. You're new there, you don't know these people or their circle of friends. What's the worst that could happen? You go out a night or two and you don't have a great time. shrug No big. Plus, it will give you something good to talk about here. lol Compared to all the good you could add to your life there, that's nothing.
