I may start over with plants from the nursery. So not the way I wanted to go - its more expensive, and I can't be sure of the conditions they were started in.

This made me chuckle a little bit. My dog eats the tomatoes right off the plants and tries to dig up the potatoes. My cat has been trying to hump some of my seeds that I have to plant. I think he has a thing for corn eek

Bogart (both but especially him) LOVESSSS tomatoes. I could be cutting a number of things in the kitchen and he'll be downstairs. The second I cut a tomato hes right next to me waiting for a slice. neutral

Yes of course! A bunch of the seedlings are Roma tomatoes and I just planted purple tomatillo seeds in a pot to get those going. Plus I will get some transplants. I have a feeling I'm gonna be setting up more beds before this is all said and done.

Loading pics now. biggrin

Just when I was about to give up on this tray, Ta-Daaaa! woot!

Just waiting on the peppers to come up also.

[img:$uid]http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i9/jgascot/fashionablylate.jpg[/img:$uid]

Added brussel sprouts and kale to the garden:

[img:$uid]http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i9/jgascot/IMAG0052.jpg[/img:$uid]

Got more seeds going:

[img:$uid]http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i9/jgascot/IMAG0054.jpg[/img:$uid]

also planted (indoors) some corn and purple tomatillos to get those going.

Did another planting bed. This one out back by the fence that separates the doggies from the veggie side.

[img:$uid]http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i9/jgascot/IMAG0053.jpg[/img:$uid]

OOH and I put up a window box over by the side entrance.

I love Acer Tree's / Shrubs. I currently have four, Two tree's and Two shrubs.

Would show pictures, but the leave's havent fully unfurled yet so would be pointless razz

One of the shrubs is 12 years old this year and when in full leaf looks awesome, but in the UK our last Winter was a tough one and I have had to cut a huge amount of dead wood off this year sad, the others are a lot younger, but still beautiful.

My Kid brother gave me one of his Acer trees shortly before he passed away, it is the most amazingly beautiful tree I have seen yet, the leaves on it are green / white and red tinted during summer then turn to a fiery orange in autumn, absolutely gorgeous!!

Just Google "Acer" on google Images and you will see what I mean wink

Prices aren't always cheap, due to them being grafted hybrids etc, but they are so well worth the money if you look after them biggrin

Life is short, don't be a dick.

John, have you considered citrus trees? Martha Stewart was going over them on her 10am show this morning (she moved from NBC to the Hallmark channel)

Nagami Kumquat

Ponderosa Lemon

Meyer Lemon

Buddha's Hand

Striped Lemonade (pink inside)

- as long as they aren't on that list I sent you (plants that harm puppies) wink

I always thought citrus was for warmer climate. When I was a kid we had lemon and lime in the backyard (and bananas and avocado and mango).

Oh Also planted a blackberry bush last weekend. biggrin

The sunroom gets lots of light but in winter gets really cold. But that might change when we have different windows put in.

Citrus trees would not survive the winters here. They must have warm weather year round I believe. Notice that most of our citrus friut comes from either Florida, California or Puerto Rico.

Girl I ain't buildin no greenhouse. I need space for the gardens and possibly an above ground pool (next year) if we use the one we're setting up this summer enough. AND the dogs need room to run and poop.

I dreamt recently that y'all got a 3rd dog (did I tell you?) - wasn't a Basset though.. in between her & Bogie in size, not sure what breed(s)

Does she know there's a 'wrong' side now, did you explain the new rules? lol

It will take ova... the bees will love it though.

question... has anyone planted mint from seed? I planted spearamint seeds in a pot in my house and I want to know how long they take to sprout.

Oh I also planted stevia seeds also... nothing yet, its been a like what 4 days?

can't plant outdoors until a few more weeks... zone 6 blues. pout
