She sat next to us on our plane ride from San Fran to Sydney and has since spent Easter with us and just today met up in Surfer's Paradise, where she and I took surfing lessons together. She has a disc of us fumbling our way through Surfing 101. Once she gets those pictures online, I'll try to share some here. She's an absolute doll and lives only 2 and a half hours away from me. We plan on spending lots of time together in the future. I swear she and my mom are BFFs now. Here they are striking a Charlie's Angels pose Easter evening.

This was at some psychedelic late night bowling alley/arcade that we stumbled upon around midnight last night. We bowled a terrible game that was absolutely laughable, but that was our goal. After being beaten up by the high surf all day, it was all we could do to even hold a ball. These pictures make me smile.
Ian's t-shirt is perfect for these pictures! I haven't been to an alley since the last time we went like 6 years ago - - must be camera shy. --»You're my favourite moment, you're my Saturday...

Hey y'all. It's been non-stop since we got here. Just returned home from our roadtrip, so now I have a chance for some updates.
First I'll flesh things out from Gold Coast and work my way from there. Here are some more shots of the city center...

The moon was absolutely spectacular on the water. I didn't even come close to capturing it, but this was kinda a nice, moody representation.

Okay, so this "Night Scene" function on my camera...it's really pretty cool.
I stumbled across it on accident, hoping it would clear up some dark shots. Well, it doesn't. It just trips everything out and turns it into these weird abstractions. And I love it! It's how I came up with my avatar. It bends the light and wraps it around you. Sometimes it doubles you. Sometimes it makes you glow. Sometimes it makes things look 3D. You'll get the idea when you see this next series of shots. I think somebody dropped something in our Solo lemonades. ART!

Okay, I really like these. We got some really cool shots down along the boardwalk. They had some amazing trees and plantlife. They're a little eerie, but really beautiful I think. Ian was in rare form. Once the picture was taken, if it wasn't ART!, it was instantly deleted.
