Good going to the top four.

I took 5th place. That's about right.
Took some home team upsets
Played the field. Some wild picks.

For my Seahawks lookin too next year. I'm still proud.

Congratulations to the teams making the playoffs. flag

PETERSON WINS RUSHING TITLE

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson finished his second NFL season as the league’s leading rusher.

Peterson churned up 1,760 yards, 61 more than Michael Turner of the Falcons. Peterson averaged 4.8 yards per carry.

DeAngelo Williams of the Panthers finished third, with 1,515 yards.

Peterson’s performance could generate some MVP votes, but the favorite at this point seems to be Peyton Manning of the Colts, who recovered from a serious knee injury to lead his team to nine straight wins.

ROMO COLLAPSES IN THE SHOWER

After the Cowboys’ season completed its collapse on the field in Philadelphia, Dallas quarterback Tony Romo reportedly collapsed in the showers.

The incident was alarming for the other players who were in the shower with Romo, and a stretcher was brought to the locker room before Romo was able to regain his composure.

Though the collapse is being attributed to a rib injury that Romo suffered during the 44-6 loss to the Eagles, Romo also missed a couple of days of practice due to an illness.

L.T. HAS ABDOMINAL STRAIN

Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, who looked like the 2006 MVP version of himself in Sunday night’s 52-21 win over the Broncos, suffered an abdominal strain in the second half, and did not return.

After the game, Tomlinson told NBC’s Andrea Kremer that he hopes to play next weekend against the Colts.

“Well, hopefully, I’m [going to] play,” Tomlinson said. “You know, but again I gotta get it checked out, make sure everything’s OK. You know, I think I could have went back in the game, but, you know, we wanted to take it easy. Hopefully, I’ll play.”

Tomlinson had 14 carries for 96 yards and three touchdowns.

The Chargers host the Colts on Saturday night, in a game that will be televised by NBC.

WILD WILD-CARD WEEKEND READY TO ROLL

The starting times for the four wild-card games are set.

On Saturday, NBC will televise the Falcons-Cardinals game at 4:30 p.m. EST. At 8:00 p.m. EST, NBC will broadcast the Colts at the Chargers.

On Sunday, the Ravens will visit the Dolphins at 1:00 p.m. EST on CBS. At 4:30 p.m. EST on FOX, the Eagles will face the Vikings in Minnesota.

Four road teams will all be favored.

Congrats on that strong finish.
But you know, never in a million years would it have occurred to me to follow YOUR lead. lol lol lol lol

Lilgish...we'll do it again next year (fingers crossed while holding a four-leaf clover in my hand, with a cherry on top?)

To be honest, when you first started this Pickem and I won the first year, I thought to myself "How hard is this going to be on a Prince chat board???..I may win this every year"

You have all impressed me with your football knowledge and I think it says something that we still haven't had a repeat winner.

Blackadder7....bow

I also think that it says a lot that the overall winning percentages haven't been much different, either....nod

Man, the Jets fired their coach with the quickness.

Yeah, he totally told Favre to start showing his age and sucking after that 8-3 start. lol

Yeah and whine baby favre had nothing to do with the total collapse of the
jets. Mangini had to take the fall. And it seemed very convenient for favre
to start talking about his ailing shoulder the final week of the season.
Well if your shoulder was hurting why didn't you sit your ass down buddy. mad

It's been a lot of fun yall in my first year picking against the org.
Congrats to the winner and lilgish for keeping tabs on this whole thing.
I look forward to next season.

I'm going with all the road teams. I think they're all legitimate favorites for a reason. Hey, their combined record is 5.5 games higher than the division champs.

Not that I'm complaining, but someone please explain to me the Pats' elimination, versus San Diego's clinching a berth.

The hardest one for me was Philly, although you would think Arizona could win at home.

Minnesota despite the Giants rushing has good run defense. Minnesota can also keep McNabb off the field. Tavaris hasn't hurt them yet but he could throw 2 int's.

If Philly wins, they go to the Meadowlands. They aren't winning there . . .,

Minnesota's pass defense is horrendous! That plays completely into the Eagles' hands.

If Philly wins, they go to the Meadowlands. They aren't winning there . . .,

They just won there relatively easily. Of course, Jacobs got hurt in that game and it wasn't the playoffs, but they're certainly capable of winning there.

The Chargers won their divison. The AFC West title. NE did not win their division. The AFC East. Miami did.
They get the spot. Baltimore tied NE. But have a better conference record. So they round out the 6th spot.

Miami winning on opening day was bigger than anyone knew . . .
It meant the difference between not only the division crown but a playoff berth.

Last but certainly not least, New England would've been the division champs at 12-4 if they hadn't been destroyed by the Chargers in San Diego. lol

The pro bowl will play in Miami in 2010 a week prior b-4 the superbowl (If I read that correctly). What do you guys think of that??? If your in the superbowl why would you even play in the pro bowl for because you might get injured. They are trying to "Hype" up the pro bowl. Keep it in Hawaii

I think it's a good idea in one respect, because it keeps fans interested but I don't see ANY Super Bowl players playing in it, and I'm pretty sure their respctive teams would forbid them to play as well.

I agree with that...the game isn't even on my radar (and I'm a HUGE fan)...they need to bring some skills competitions into it like the NFL's fastest man, best hands, best arm etc.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
