Wow am I disappointed in the eagles. They've had trouble scoring all season. The last two games they barely got by, but taking the field goal finally backfired on them. Good job Cardinals.

Cardinals beat Eagles, clinch berth in first-ever Super Bowl

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Kurt Warner is going back to the Super Bowl, a sweet journey for a 37-year-old quarterback considered washed up not so long ago.
Warner engineered Arizona's 32-25 victory over Philadelphia on Sunday in the NFC championship game, the culmination of an unlikely playoff run for a Cardinals franchise that had been the joke of the league for years.

Warner has been there twice, in 1999 and 2001, as the ringmaster of the "Greatest Show on Turf" of the St. Louis Rams, and his cool leadership and ageless arm were perhaps the biggest reasons for Arizona's climb from the league's depths.

Cardinals 32, Eagles 25

Warner threw four touchdown passes Sunday, three to the phenomenal Larry Fitzgerald. But his biggest was his fourth, an 8-yard middle screen to rookie Tim Hightower, who barreled over the goal line to give the Cardinals back the lead with 2:59 to play.

It came at the end of a 14-play, 72-yard drive that used up nearly eight minutes of the fourth quarter after the Eagles had rallied from an 18-point deficit to go ahead 25-20.

Warner completed 21 of 28 passes for 279 yards with no interceptions.

He almost wasn't even Arizona's starter when the season began.

He was in a tight competition with young Matt Leinart in training camp before coach Ken Whisenhunt announced he would go with Warner after the final preseason game. Whisenhunt said he thought Warner would do well, but not this well.

In leading the Cardinals to the NFC West title and their first home playoff game since 1947, Warner ranked second in the NFL in completions (401), completion percentage (67.1), yards passing (4,583) and passing touchdowns (30).

Who would've thunk it?

The Cardinals? Who won the weakest division in the conference at 9-7?

Congratulations!

OK, that was clear pass interference. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, the bottom line is that the Eagles' defense didn't get it done when they had the chance. They were completely outplayed in the first half, corrected things in the second, and then let Arizona waltz down the field after the offense had seized all the momentum. disbelief Utterly ridiculous. The offense was out of sync in the first half, but McNabb and the boys were damn near perfect in the second. It should've been a close game at the half with the Eagles running away with it in the second, but the defense just couldn't do anything right. Yet another in a long line of games where the Eagles have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory this year: Chicago, the first games against Dallas and New York, both Redskins games... disbelief

Even though Cardinals are division rivals with Seattle NFC West. I'm countin on the AZ to win the game.

I guess being an Eagle fan I shouldn't be shocked we blew it on the big stage once again but I am, we lost to the Cards!!!! I can't believe it!! I think they might actually win the bowl, Pittsburgh's secondary is not the strongest and if Warner has time in the pocket that might spell trouble for Pittsburgh.

Back to the drawing board for my Eagles..... Another heartbreaker!!!

It came down the QB play. Warner made plays when he had to. Eagles could have had big plays if Donovan was more accurate. And what happened to the kicking game?

You aint kidding. Im really pissed they didnt go all the way, especially when the stars basically aligned for them to even get in after all heartbreaking losses (and tie) during the regular season. Westbrook stopped being a factor. The receivers dropped a lot of balls. McNabb, although messing up at times, was pretty consistent. Only coming away with 6 points in the first half killed them, both the offense and the defense started to play too late in the game. Im starting to think McNabb will never get a superbowl ring sad

Nah, I can't put this one on McNabb at all. He was off in the first half, but damn near perfect in the second. Yeah, those throws on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down at the end weren't perfect (of course, he was being harassed in the pocket), but the 4th down throw was right on the money. Curtis should've caught the ball (even though there was PI). The Eagles tried unsuccessfully to get Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald, and Anquan Boldin before this season. They need to make it happen this offseason. Boldin, Housh... somebody...

Still, this game was lost on the defensive side of the ball. The #1 defense in the NFC was nonexistent in the first half and again on the final drive. One more stop would've won the game and they didn't deliver. So many missed tackles, so many blown coverages...
