You talk about generations, How about those people who had hundreds of thousands in their 401k and all got lost. People laid off, and company goes bellyup. This company had over 60,000 employees affected. People lost cars, houses, money, children suffered and all, dogs don't eat cause they couldn't afford dog food no more. California suffered with false rolling blackouts for wha they did. Now on this hand some clown, raped a dog and owners mad, look dogs get runned over in the street, same thing they are dead. The boy sick but he affected only the owners, no one else. The 2 girls , how u don't know it was not volunteered. Statutory means underage but she could have volunteered. Same for other one. It didn't say forced raped i read i think. So YES ENRON WORSE>

Jesus Christ, I really can't believe I'm reading this. disbelief

The severity of a crime is not determined by how many people it effects, anyway. It is determined by the severity of the act. Embezzlement is only money. Rape or murder can take something away that you will NEVER EVER get back, and I don't care how many people lost money at the hands of the Enron bastards, their crime is not nearly as severe as this - and that is from a legal standpoint, as well as a moral one.
[Edited 6/20/05 8:37am]

[flamed snipped - luv4u] I believe in innocent until proven guilty. You can say that cause u not affected by enron stuff. I know where i work if it happens here my life and others here would just go straight to hell. We make 26 an hour and lotsa of money and if enron happen here, we are fucked especially me. So yes enron worse

This kid rapped a dog and allegedly molested two girls. (a strong precurser to what he might be doing in the future)
This is a case of apples and oranges the two types of crimes, rape and coporate mis-appropreation, are terrible in their own repective but really lets keep the in their own side of the fence.
I have never heard a woman or man or child say that "yeah I was raped/molested but atleast I still have a job" and I have never heard a person who's whole life was wipped out say "yeah my family and I may be homeless but atleast we were'nt raped"
Each has it's own place..keep it in perspective.
I find it lonely being a loner

How would a three year old ever volunteer to have sex?

This thread had brought out the worst in some people. I, for one, am oddly glad that I've read some of these comments.

Enron is not worse. That kind of greed is something I can understand as a human being who sometimes has instincts to be greedy. This is something completely different, and hence the concern. I don't know what would drive somebody to do this. The crime is worse, the damage inflicted likewise, and the need for investigation into the criminal's state of mind even more necessary. These were terrible crimes and we need to understand why he did it. Punishment, of course, but to only punish would be a crime in itself.

Where did it say he murdered somebody? WHERE? People hit deers in the road all the time, Should they be trial for murder too. If it was forced rape then yes its bad, but if those girls volunteered he should not be punished no worse than community service. I think its sick to have sex with an animal. I just wonder how mines would even fit in an animal cause it has a hrad time going in humans without them screaming and hollowing talking about too big. INNOCENT until proven GUILTY.

If I was your significant other, I'd rather have someone be raped or murdered than suffer financial misfortune? You know, considering the type of person who would be your significant other, yeah, you're right on the money there.

We're talking about severity of crimes in general here, not his crimes.

Yeah, I'm sure the 3-year-old volunteered. And I'm glad that you value women enough to give community service to a man who molested a 3-year-old and a 13-year-old.

The guy fucked a dog. Do I have trouble believing he molested those girls? Nope. And your other statement is just bizarre.
