No. It just has not. Just Janet fans not wanting to admit, that she might have been in aggreeance or might have even requested to cancel the tour. They bring forth several reasons a) Janet being sick b) Joseph being sick c) Live Nation pulling the plug d) scheduling conflicts, like the promoters claim and e) any other mysterious reason no one knows about.

The only reason no one wants to acknowledge is f) that tickets were not selling satisfyingly and that Janet and Live Nation made the decision to cut the losses and cancel the tour.

Exactly! The show I went to was great, good album reviews (not enough promotion though), terrific first video, and people more enthused about her than in years. What the heck has happened...

That's what I stated earlier in this thread--it would be a huge mistake to cancel any of the U.S. shows. If filling venues was a problem then she wasn't handled well by management who should have scheduled shows where they know she has a solid fan base (which seemed to be what was done on the first leg), tested the waters in areas where they weren't sure in smaller venues, built up promotion, and then branched out from there. Music management 101. I'm still scratching my head on this one...

That is not the issue. She is committed to this tour. She did the first leg. Then ran into a medical problem and rescheduled the 2nd US leg. Then she ran into a economical problem and cancelled the european tour because she/they/whatever could/or wouldn't except making less or probably no money due to poor ticket sales. And ticket sales in some places where poor. I've been following 3 of my concerts very closely (Zurich, Prague and Tallinn... in the latter she sold a couple hundred tickets) and some less closely (Frankfurt and Düsseldorf) and sales were disappointing. The question is, whether Live Nation pulled the plug against her wishes, which some fans want to make you believe or whether it was a joint the decision to cut the looses and seemingly save embarrassment. The excuse of "scheduling difficulties" given by promoters is bogus. And if there really would be an scheduling issue involved, then everyone on her team should get fired. You don't schedule a european tour of 20 concerts and 4 months later, 3 weeks before the tour is to start, you realize "Damn. I can't do it. I gotta be somewhere else.".

I agree, I think she is being HORRIBLY mismanaged. She is not a priority for her managing team. She needs to clean house, seriously. Get rid of Gil, get rid of the manager and the team.

I think Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis would make Janet great managers! Their already her personal advisors. Plus looking over Janet's Rhythm Nation Records. I think it'll eventually be in the works if not already.

Since the tour isn't going well, money may not be an issue, so to hell with the tour. Just cancel it and move on. I'm not saying that is her thought process........but it could be a factor in the decision making regarding this tour. They gave it a shot, and it simply didn't work as planned.

I'm so happy i saw Janet again last year . It brought everything back around for me full circle. I was so proud of her & her accomplishments. She has NOTHING to prove to any of you and should really not give a rats ass what you think of her.

There is STILL no activity from her about this!?! Or at all about anything? Why does everything have to be an up hill battle? Ugh. It sucks being a JJ fan ngl. I think she's the type of person to create problems for herself, but the people that she's really hurting are the fans.

It is is because its hard to tell whether or not she really cares but she is ashamed or if she is just blowing off her fans.

When stuff like this happens,she simply runs and hides.It would be so much better if she would just explain what's going on.Fans are usually very forgiving and understanding.Being evasive just makes it worse.

To be fair to Janet, saying "I only sold 3,231 seats in a venue capacity of 18,000" is not really going to make her look very good. What do you expect her to do?
