Wow! This is not a good look at all. I love me some Janet, but this is bad!!!! I hope nothing is seriously wrong with her. I feel so bad for the people who have brought tickets, plane tickets, and hotel rooms. I also feel some kind of way that her team has not put out a statement yet. Is she still performing at the Dubai Cup? If so that will most likely add fuel to the burning fire. My mind is telling me that Janet wants out. But she wanted to do this last thing for her fans. I get the feeling that music and performing are no longer #1. And that's find with me. I mean the woman has been onstage since she was 7. I wish all the UK fans the best. Now I'm afraid she will cancel the 3rd leg.

The 47 year run provided by the Jackson Family, second to none, tons of great moments Ill always remember, but its over I love Janet. Its not about this tour its just all over There is nothing else that can be proven anymore [Edited 3/8/16 10:55am]

It's only over because of Janet though, look at twitter and how many people are pissed off that they won't be going to the concert. It's not like she is a nobody that hasn't even made any ripples with this new tour. People are reacting because they were prepared to go to the show.

Maybe the show didn't sell out, but not alot of shows do get a full venue at an arena, the trick is curtains lol . It's a shame that her team or Janet herself can't figure out how to either pace shows or make them actually enjoyable for Janet to do.

If she is going to go and do the show in Dubai, she probably has no interest in touring and never should have bothered in the first place. If selling out shows is a problem aswell as the aspect of touring, Janet should have just done a couple of shows in MSG and London as a rarity show that everyone should see then the venues would have been full too!

no, no, ....I'm not blaming Janet at all

it's not about attack, it's the current state of the situation

at some point, the human toll outweights the entertainment value

Agree and I am happy to read this from a Janet fan because a lot of Janet fans are really indenial about this. I have been saying this forever. Janet is not interested in the music industry or show business anymore, period. The only reason why she did "Unbreakable" was for the fans. I am happy of the effort she put into the project but I think this is the last album we will see from Janet for a while. I also still believe that she was not really sick and I think its disrespectful how she just canceled all her European dates without a statement. This is not a good look. She is building up a lil reputation of not being a reliable touring act. Hope she doesnt cancel the US leg, get a feeling she will.

I don't want to alarm anyone or sound crazy but I'm noticing so many weird coincidences and déjà vu around this era now. Dispelling dying and cancer rumours, pushing back London dates if not cancelling, June 24(being close to 7th anniversary of mj death), Janet turning 50 soon. I can't help but wonder if something else is going on, and I don't want to really know what and hope I'm wrong.

Yeah I agree for the most part too she's too good for them all and needs a peaceful private life of living in dignity. I don't think she would fake being sick though, it sounded like it was prolly something common for those her age

^ Oh I agree for sure. I think after the way the music industry treated her I wouldn't want to have anything to do with them either BUT when you commit yourself to tour dates and shows, you still have an obligation to fulfill. You don't just cancel just because your "independent" and "your not up to it anymore" thats not fair to fans. Fans wont be as willing to pay money to see her in the future because she is not relible. I REALLY want Janet to win, I really do. I think she is icon/legend and is incredibly underrated BUT she makes some really bad bad bad career moves sometimes.

Everything seems to be so complicated with Janet these days, maybe it's par of the course when you don't have major label backing, but things have been this way for a while now, and it's not like this is the first Janet tour to be plagued by illness rumours and mass cancellations.

I dunno what to think really, I was going to see the show and changed my mind at the last minute, which I am now thankful for. She certainly hasn't done herself any favours by doing this, but perhaps she doesn't care, especially if this is going to be her last full-scale world tour. Still, it's a shame she couldn't go out with a bang, after everything that's happened.

I feel like on this side of the world she did do that, so many people went to her shows, even those who usually don't go to her shows or don't keep up with her genre of music managed to see her. It just goes on to confirm that she was always bigger in north america than europe, though that doesn't take away from her overall legacy and underrated work. This isn't the first time she put off a Euro tour either, and I don't want to judge if it's health related, but it's fishy she's still doing Dubai and not that.

BEYONCÉ IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN JANET JACKSON: CURRENT TICKET SALES PROVE IT

DARYL DEINO

The myth that Beyoncé owes her career to Janet Jackson is false. While Janet may have some influence on Beyoncé, megastars such as Diana Ross, Tina Turner, and even Donna Summer had far more influence on today’s biggest star. Janet Jackson was a force to be reckoned with in the 1980s and 1990s, but not so much these days.

While Janet Jackson is a great entertainer who has helped produce some excellent albums (including her latest album Unbreakable), she is not much beyond an entertainer. She isn’t a true vocalist or musician. Her high school cheerleader dance moves are entertaining, but that doesn’t make her a professional dancer — at least not in the way Beyoncé is. Janet Jackson is a decent actress, and one hopes that she will be offered some decent movie roles in the future.

image: http://cdn.inquisitr.com/...yonce2.jpg

Beyoncé Janet JacksonBeyoncé is a legend. Janet Jackson is the sister of a legend. [Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images]On the other hand, Beyoncé is a multiple threat: a singer, dancer, and a musician. Unlike Janet and other pop stars, Beyoncé has a lot of expertise in each category; she isn’t just a “Jack of all Trades.” However, the verdict is still out on Bey as an actress.

While Janet Jackson gets c0-writing credits on her songs, Beyoncé, at least according to her producers and many in the record industry, helps shape her songs in a way that most pop stars don’t. It’s not fair to say that Beyoncé isn’t a musician since we don’t see her play any instruments. She has an ear for what sounds right, what touches people, and most importantly, what appeals to music listeners.

Perhaps the biggest indicator of where both artists stand is current concert ticket sales, which are rumored to be poor for Janet Jackson. Billboard has the latest news on what appears to be a given when it comes to Jackson these days — cancelled concert dates.

“Less than three months after postponing numerous Unbreakable Tour dates to undergo surgery, Janet Jackson has reportedly canceled those rescheduled European tour dates.”

Billboard adds that Ticketmaster emailed sources to let them know they are refunding all ticket sales for Janet’s European dates. The dates were postponed already due to a mystery illness that Janet Jackson supposedly had. Many suspect that Ms. Jackson has come down with a nasty case of poor ticket sales, although nobody knows for sure. Of course, if Janet Jackson really is sick, then these people will surely feel bad.

Janet Jackson UnbreakableJanet Jackson is rumored to be suffering from poor ticket sales. [Photo by Alexander Tamargo/Getty Images]Billboard has been posting their Current Boxscore chart every week. About half of the shows Janet Jackson has played haven’t been reported. Out of the ones that did, shows in Grand Rapids, MI (8,621/9,102); Orlando, FL (8,906/9,067); Tampa FL (7,702/8,811); and Minneapolis, MN (8,879/10,395) did not sell out. Those numbers aren’t awful, but if these were reported and others weren’t, one has a right to wonder how low attendance numbers could have been. Janet’s unreported Calgary show at the Calgary Saddledome had an attendance of 8,500, according to the Calgary Herald — a number far lower than the 19,000 listed capacity for the venue. It’s also important to note that the seating capacity listed at many of Janet Jackson’s shows is far less than what the venues usually hold. For example, the capacity for the Amway Center in Tampa is 17,461. A concert usually holds a little bit less than the total capacity, but the 8,811 capacity figure that was given (and that Janet couldn’t fill) could raise some questions.

Beyoncé, on the other hand, is double-booking stadium shows in such cities as Chicago and New York City. According to Billboard, Bey is close to selling out single stadium dates in such cities as Los Angeles, Boston, San Diego, Miami, and others. That’s something Janet Jackson could only dream of and also something Jackson hasn’t been able to do her entire career.

These days, Janet Jackson employs questionable tactics, such as giving away free albums with concert t-shirts and even Uber ride giveaways, in order to give an illusion that she’s selling records. Beyoncé sells albums just by existing. History will show that Beyoncé revolutionized the music industry while releasing groundbreaking records. Janet Jackson should be recognized for her contributions as well, but they are nothing compared to Beyoncé’s.

Just to add some food for thought. These were taken from a fan site's Twitter account.....

-

I'm confident there's a reason for the lack of statement from . Have reached out to management and PR reps. Silence is rare.

-

Don't forget has been rehearsing in London's Covent Garden over the past few weeks. The tour was going ahead.

-

The one obvious explanation for silence from and team is significant legal and financial implications from the cancellation.

-

I'm told by sources that forced the cancellation not .

-

Dubai is a non gig. Therefore it's unaffected. It's likely a private cash gig that isn't part of the actual tour.

If it's true that LiveNation forced the cancellations, what is the reason? Poor ticket sales?
