Going with Janet on this... I really didnt even think that performance was all that great... Just basically doing the whole rhythm nation dance... but I LOVE that dance and she always does a GREAT job doing the dance and shes a very talented dancer. Her performance could have been SO MUCH better though. She could have been more creative with the song selection and dance numbers and why the hell include Justiin... looking at it again.. he REALLY was not necessary at all..

They both lip singed (which to be expected) but at least Janet did alot more dancing unlike Madonna who relied on her backup dancers even the times Madonna did dance it wasnt intricate.

I will say this though....I HATED Janets costume I did really like Madonnas wardrobe and thought she looked great...

I personally thinks it hard to compare because Janet didnt have a whole set by herself and Madonna did. Also technology in 2004 is very very different from technology in 2012. So if you choose, you have to choose based on the performance own its own and not all the special effects or it isnt fair.

Janet's production compared to it is weak as hell.

Finally saw it! I was considering skipping the upcoming tour cause of finances, but I WILL be saving my pennies after all! Madonna wins this battle hands down, though I know Janet is capable of so much more than what she did at her Superbowl, with the song selection and all.

I wanted those Kylie "Aphrodyte" stage costumes. I check the dollar store daily and unfortunately first minutes of SuperBowl half time show proves Madonna bought them all.

Maddy was awesome. She sucks and the game was excellent. The way it should be.

Janet's performance is FLOP.

I love her, but the performance is not amazing, the only thing people still remember is her titty.

Madonna did a great job.

i still believe janet's wardrobe malfunction was (unaware to her) not an error on Justin T's part. imo he knew what was planned b4 the actual performance.

also, if this would've happened to any other female performer such as pink, adele, taylor swift or etc. "the only thing people would still remember is the exposure of a mammary gland during the performance.

so all in all, imo janet was better and would have been applauded and congratulated for an

Take madonna out of that performance and it would still be the same ..she added absolutely nothing...she needed an entire roman army to command to make the performance memorable

with janet i will admit the production was weak and there could have been a better song selection plus she didnt need justin timberlake but the sheer energy of her performance..her aplity to command that attention without all the extra stuff ..now that a true performer...

I find it funny on this prince site that they would applaud Madonna just for her obvious better 2012 production compared to a weak 2004.

They would pick that OVER Janets kick ass stage presence and dancing REGARDLESS if we have seen it already.
