Taken during the Velvet Rope tour I think. I love how she goes from toned and lean to voluptuous. She's great either way to me. "Get up off that grey line"

It's actually late 1998, during the "Ask For More" era towards the tail end of the Velvet Rope Tour. Here are a few more pics from that session...

Is She Not Wearing any Makeup?
It looks Similar to this Interview, where it also looks like she's not wearing make-up

Yea, no makeup or touch up on the pics.
But her body looked so unnatural during this time period, AFY and 20 Y.O. era. I prefer the voluptuous body she has now. It looks more natural.

It is the same time. I think she must have done this interview on a break from those pics. It's all during the "Ask For More" era. "Get up off that grey line"

I just finished reading Janet's book. She's surprisingly open and frank about her life and insecurities without going into gossipy details. It is about her journey to where she has come to at this point in her life and what she wanted to share with others. It is not a "no holds barred" autobiography. I find many parallels between her life struggles and mine, as I'm sure a lot of people do. The experiences she shares about herself and others she has known are enlightening and inspiring. Next, I'm gonna try out one of those recipes! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

That's on my list... For starters I'm gonna try the Chipotle Roasted Sweet Potatoes With Cilantro (Yum! I don't usually like sweet potatoes!) and the Blueberry Peach Crumble. Both of these sound delicious. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

So I went to see Janet last night at Radio City. What can I say, it was a great show, we danced all night, hardly sat down. Janet looks phenomenal, great body, flawless skin, she's absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Whatever people may say about her, you can't deny her success, she has great songs, all hits, all numbers ones and they were all fun to dance too. The only thing I would change(which I know yall die hards going jump down my throat for pointing out) is to not have any of the cd tracks she had playing along with the band and the three back up singers. I'm just old school and I think a great band and backup singers should be able to shine through to give the whole live experience. She also came in late on que on the lip synch a few times, most notably during That's the Way Love Goes, but she did sing live for the most part (I think ). My favorite part of the night was Nasty, that song will forever be a timeless classic, especially towards the end where she always throws in a remix and crowd went crazy. Miss You Much, Rhythmn Nation, When I Think of You, Love Will Never Do were awesome. Had alot of fun and the crowd loved her!
Just want to add too that the tour book was beautiful. One of the best I've seen. Did a beautiful job laying out her career with pics and bios. Very nice.
