SCORPIOS IN THE HOUSE!! man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

The album is way past the deadline to enter the Grammys as submissions have already been posted. Michael's stuff from "This Is It" has been considered for nods though. But if it sells real good and Michael gets one or two posthumous hits out of it, he could get Grammy nods for the 2012 show.

Katherine sounds like she's as senile as her old man and Quincy now.
And I REFUSE to listen to that song. After hearing that drivel that fucked up the "Destiny" song.
Fuck outta here! | |

michael has to be spinning in his grave, actually, glad he ain't alive to see some of this stuff, he'd be more hurt than he probably ever had been and that's saying something. Trust is something reserved for very few and everyone needs someone, not a lot of people, but someone. To lose that is devestating for any human being and Mike didn't have a whole lot of trust to give.

Yeah he couldn't trust nobody not even family.

I would be curious to how the general public (not just Mike fans) sees or views Oprah's interviews with the kids. I'll most likely watch the interviews because they are of interest as a Michael fan, even though ethically, I believe the adults should know better. Why Katherine would at her age want to do all of this is a mystery, most likely to help out the rest of the family. I mean, I doubt she needs anything for herself. She's always been a sweet motherly lady, but we know that fame, money, power make people act crazy. Just really doubt that she wants a lot out of it for herself. I mean, how much can any 80 year old person really live it up?

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Well, she is 80, STILL married to Joe Jackson, and has three little ones to watch over. Her mind is probably jumbled with stress and maybe even depression, and I actually feel kinda bad for her. I don't think she's anything like that wack old loon Quincy Jones. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

Even though I don't trust Wikipedia, it says that the new album was recorded between 2001-2009, so most likely we won't get outtakes from earlier (Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory) sessions. Eh

funny thing man, white people love some quincy jones, I went off on him in front of a couple white folks and told them of some of the shit he pulled, ohhh did they have his back. I don't think he's crazy or senile, why make excuses, he's just showing what he always was. My mentors have done that before, nothing mysterious about it, they are just con men for the most part. As I get older I pray that the young I look out for and attempt to guide never see me like I see some of my mentors.

From seeing how crazy everything has gotten since he's passed, it's becoming very obvious (at least to me), that Michael didn't have a strong support system "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I may be wrong, but I think it's because Quincy worked in jazz and he worked with Frank Sinatra. That and he's usually the one given almost full credit for MJ's first 3 albums on Epic.

Apparently. In his early years, he also played trumpet (marginally well). Ray Charles taught him all he supposedly knows.

well, I am puzzled by it a bit, but I put it down to how white people like their black males, innofensive, "conservative", slightly hip, and in imitation of white people to a certain degree. Other than that, I really don't understand it because when I explain what was wrong with what Quincy did (just lack of respect for a dead 'friend' for example) there is no way to make that right, but they try. Just really makes me scratch my head.

People who defend anyone with the character Quincy has don't really have much to say that so they try to defend it as if that's how someone truthfully acts toward someone they work with.

ya, he was known as a "terrible" in the words of someone in his own documentary trumpet player. His real strengths were as a communicator/bullshitter/conman, choose your own. Of course he did the movie scores, pioneered that for a black man, led jazz bands, I can't think of much that was really great music outside of sanford and son's theme. Then again I haven't really listened to alot. His really good work was done in such a collaborated fashiion that it's hard to tell who did what and who deserves what credit, a con man like him wants it that way. I'm sorry, I ain't ashamed to say I turned on him after MJ's death in a big way. He was a hero, I attended a commencement he did here in seattle just because of him.

I liked "The Pawnbroker" theme and apparently he did some work on "The Genius of Ray Charles".

I'm begging someone , anyone in michael's camp to please release the truimph and Bad Tour. I want that more than a album. They should have started releasing that .

being the fan i was, i have his complete works but just haven't bothered listening to them, got them from value village. Either way, outside of Michael, the Pre-Michael quincy had, as I've said before, limited cultural relevancy. How good was he?? I don't know, as a movie composer there are many others who's music has become a part of our culture, lalo schifrin did lots of stuff (mission impossible for example) which is easily distinguished, outside of Sanford and Son, I can't think of anything like that for Quincy.

To all the death hoax believers - I'm willing to go through all the 100 you tube clips with an open, but analytical mind and review them if you are open to faults being pointed out.
The first thing people jumped on was the This Is It photo saying MJ was photoshopped in because the S wasn't there between his legs. This was what started it. And then when it was PROVEN the S was never there because that panel on the screen was a door down to the bottom of the stage - they conveniently forgot it and moved on to other things.
Like I said, I understand the desire to want him to be alive. But I couldn't support a man who deliberately faked his death - inflicting pain on millions of people not to mention his children and family. Especially one who thought yeah I can come back and everything will be ok.
I'm willing to put down $10,000 saying he is dead. Anyone want to take me up on it? "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

What S between his legs? You mean his snake? I don't get it. Either way, these hoax theories are so far fetched, you have put in great effort to make a case. I'm not going back on what I said by discussing this.....But I just have 1 question, and that's it: Why wouldn't they know about it? "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee
