2000 watts doesnt sound like MJ either. I have listened closley like 20 times and its MJ.

Remember MJ has not sang a up tempo track with speed in his voice in years so you cant expect the 1980 MJ with the soft voice. His voice is smooth on slow tracks but the deepness shows when he has to speed up. Its MJ PPL

If its him, then the song is crap. Either its not him and the song is crap, or its him and the song is crap. People like Michael Jackson because he was one of the best vocalists around, he could sing the phone book and make it great. Why would someone distort his vocals beyond recognition? It makes no sense. Hold My Hand, the live tracks from This Is It, We've Had Enough, Invincible... all those songs sound like classic MJ. This... I don't know what the hell this is.

When that person said Michael.... I knew it wasn't him..... sad

I don't know how they think they can fool MJ'S fans.... Some of us have been listening to the man since we were kids. Gawd, I feel so sad and let down.

I love the production but that voice... it ain't Mike. mad

ok.i just heard the song too

and coming from a non-fan this is what i heard:

lead vocals: QUESTIONABLE

background vocals:DEFINITELY MICHAEL.

Michael has a distinctive voice.the jury's still out on this one. hmm

I stopped playing it after the "vocalist" kept saying his name. Why have just background vocals and a questionable voice fronting it?

Michael doesn't even say his own name like that! His singing and speaking voice are both very distinctive.

Sony has some serious explaining to do.

Yeah all of that for nothing.

I had a funny feeling I was gonna not like it from the opener. I was kinda hopeful though but eh.

I think ppl are expecting MJ at 47 years old to sound like when he was 25 with the baby kid voice in Thriller. Dude was 47 and voice is deeper now.

Its like saying heeeeeey Michael Jordan isnt jumping as high at 50 as he did before....duuuh dude is 50.

When was the last time MJ sang a up tempo track?

I know my Michael and it's not him.

SONY better just PULL the ENTIRE project altogether or start all over again using songs with MJ's actual VOICE ONLY because they are in for a serious backlash.

How are they gonna release an MJ album or song where MJ aint even singing on it? At least not the majority of the time. This is some bulls**t.

And everyone says MJ is the crazy one, but he's not even here anymore and look at the madness that's going on. Even in death, there has to be some problems and controversy. SMH.

Better yet...pull the entire project and start over by going into the vaults and releasing some gems from 1976-1997. Hell, a box set of unreleased stuff will do. Sick of record companies doing shit like this!

I am shocked that things have gotten this far. This is ridiculous. I was at the studio when these questionable files were delivered. I heard these "so-called" Michael Jackson songs raw and without the distraction of the well produced music by Teddy Riley. How they constructed these songs is very sneaky and sly. many people who have worked on this project either have strong doubts and questions while others KNOW the truth yet decided to turn and look the other way with their hands out for $$. I will NEVER look the other way. Right is Right, Truth is Truth, Facts are Facts and it will all come out!!! I tried so hard to prevent this craziness, but they wouldn't listen. I KNOW my Uncle's voice and something's seriously wrong when you have immediate FAMILY saying it's not him. Don't you have to wonder why? I have strong, undeniable points. They can't give me answers, yet continue to move forward with lies and deception. Sounding like Michael Jackson and BEING Michael Jackson are two different things.

"If you know it's a lie then you will swear it, If you give it with guilt then you will bear it, If it's taking a chance then you will dare it... you would do anything for money"

No offence but how did he get to listen to the songs from the album? -.-

I'm sure Sony is protecting the songs from being leaked. I very much doubt that the Jackson family other than the head os estate had access to the studio while Mike's songs are being mixed or remastered. (sigh)

And I trust Teddy. I think he knows Mike's voice.

co-sign. remember, this is taj we're talking about, the same person who swore up and down that mj's kids were not being interviewed by oprah. what the hell does he know?

if he and the rest of the family were so close to mj, why was he staying with another family for 4 mos. recording songs? yes, why would the estate be running songs by taj? who is he? isn't his uncle jackie FAMILY? if so, then why is jackie giving the album thumbs up if he's so convinced the vocals aren't his little brother's?

Good suggestion! I would love it if that happened. At least we'd know those vocals are actually MJ's instead of Sony's lame attempt to make MJ's music sound more modern and up to date by using some s**tty impersonator to sing like him.

Isn't it a shame that of all the folks that released posthumous works, the ones that get treated right are Pac's and Marvin's? Or at least the first two I can think of? I'm still thinking this is a Punk'd and if so they're a bunch of punks for doing that.

Part of me wonders if this is part of a greater PR thing that Sony is doing

"BREAKING NEWS" --- Michael not singing?

Then like Timmy said above, maybe punking us

OR perhaps they just did this for the sake of controversy,

hoping it will help people be curious about the album and buy it.

Who knows?

All I know is, I'm sooooo disapointed. What a let-down.

It's funny at worst, I expected the song to be bad.

I didn't expect it to NOT be him. Sure enough, I'd bet

$100 that - that track does NOT have MJ on lead vocals.

He is doing background vocals ONLY at best.

How stupid....have a song that says your own damn name

and not even be by him? That is what makes me think it is

part of something bigger.

I believe MJ was experimenting with singing in deeper tone and trying to not copy his past
