b3xy said: after speaking to people who knew fans out in LA they were saying over the last couple of weeks the people around Michael changed. Where before they were allowed to talk to him and he would stop for a while in the last couple of weeks the security etc wouldnt let them near him and would almost push him into the car to get him away, and if the fans got close enough to him and told him that he didnt have to do the shows if he didnt want to and the fans wouldnt mind they were physically pushed out the way by security
to be honest i am starting to think maybe this isnt as clear as people think it is, if Michael did back out of the shows AEG etc would lose alot of money, maybe they thought they would be able to drug him till the shows and get him to do them or maybe they did murder him for the insurance money i dunno its all so messed up he shouldnt be gone Some poeple were that lucky to see him several times? I wish I was that lucky. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. Stevie Wonder honors Michael Jackson’s Memory at Starlight
When first announced, Stevie Wonder’s concert Friday at Starlight Theatre was seen as significant for being the celebrated hit-maker’s first show in Kansas City since 1986 at Kemper Arena. Call it history with a little “h.” Then Michael Jackson died on Thursday – only a day before Wonder’s show at Starlight – and the resulting pop-culture shockwave instantly imbued the gig with a previously unimagined magnitude. Call it History. How would Wonder publicly handle the stunning loss of his longtime friend, with whom he’d also shared the bond of being a former child pop star? What would he say to ease the ache? What would he sing in tribute? Wonder didn’t waste any time making his feelings known to the thousands that packed Starlight on Friday. Before a note was played, he stood center-stage with Aisha Morris (his daughter and backup singer) to share his grief and search for meaning. He solemnly called it an “amazing night” because of the “pain that is felt through the world with the loss of Michael Jackson.” “I would hope that all of you would not allow yourselves to give in to the stupidity of some of what is being said by the press,” he said, adding that Jackson’s gifts would keep on giving “even in death.” The most important thing, he said, was to know that Jackson “brought joy” through “his music and his dancing and his videos.” “All the other stuff that people might do or say – excuse me, kids, hold your ears – is a bunch of bullshit,” Wonder said, to which the audience loudly applauded and shouted its approval. “As well,” he said, “we’re going to do the show for Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon,” who also died this week. “It’s a celebration of life… .” Alternating between grand piano and electric keyboard, the 59-year-old Wonder confirmed his still remarkable vocal power and dexterity throughout the more than two-hour musical commemoration. He was strongly supported by a 14-person band, including a trumpeter, a saxophonist, two guitarists, three percussionists and four backup singers. The sightless star also brought his sense of humor. “They’re having some lighting difficulties,” Wonder declared to the audience, “but it seems alright to me!” The music was highly melodic and consistently groove laden. A perfect example early in the set was Wonder’s convincing take on “Kansas City.” It was straight ahead, yet utterly soulful. He convinced you that if anyone was going to get a crazy little woman by standing on the corner at 12th Street and Vine, it was going to be him. Purely and simply, Wonder gave the people what they wanted. Bang-up renditions of longtime fan favorites included lively versions of “Master Blaster (Jammin’),” “Higher Ground,” “Don’t You Worry ’Bout a Thing,” “Living for the City,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours),” “Sir Duke” and “Superstition.” He stood and used a handheld microphone to deliver the oh-so-sweet “I Just Called to Say I Love You,” his Academy Award-winning ballad from the 1984 film, “The Woman in Red.” Yet he also left some great hits off the table. Where were “My Cherie Amour,” “Overjoyed” and “You Are the Sunshine of My Life”? And that’s just for starters. Still, it’s fair to say that any omissions were made up for by the evening’s special mission. “Are you all with me?” Wonder said. “Yeahhhhh!” the crowd responded. “Are we going to celebrate Michael Jackson’s life tonight?” “Yeahhhhh!” Wonder kept his word throughout the evening, including improvisational solo turns that offered a hopeful view of Jackson’s passing. One went like this: “I know that Michael is in the arms of almighty God,” Wonder sang with the use of an effects device called a talk box, which gave his voice an otherworldly quality. “So…he doesn’t have to think about people talking about his life anymore…that he has a child’s heart, anymore…because he’s in the arms of almighty God. So let them say what they might say and do what they might do, because God has already given him the victory!” Following that, he launched into the upbeat Jackson Five song, “Never Can Say Goodbye,” with the talk box still providing an eerie overlay to his yearning vocal: “Tell me why is it so? Don’t want to let you go! I never can say goodbye… . No-no-no! No-no-no!” The crowd eagerly joined in, to which Wonder could only yell back, “Keep singin’!” No problem there. But if the show came down to a single scintillating interval that provided the catharsis that so many were looking for, it was when Wonder and company kicked into the immediately recognizable introduction to Jackson’s universally adored dance hit, “Billie Jean.” The incredibly cool part? Except for a well-placed MJ-like “woo-hoo-hoo!” or two from Wonder, the main man kept quiet and let the audience soley belt out the song in its entirety. It was a brilliant and inspirational gesture, allowing the fans to pour out their love for Jackson and claim him as their very own when they needed to most. As the music faded, audience members shouted: “We love you, Michael!” The concert closed with a medley of Jackson’s hits played over the public address system, while Wonder and his band stood, swayed and held hands to the music of “ABC,” “Never Can Say Goodbye,” “Rock With You” and “Billie Jean.” Wonder’s dark glasses hid his eyes, but not his feelings of loss and renewal. “I’ve had a wonderful time here tonight and I’m so glad I was able to celebrate all the wonderful songs of Michael Jackson,” he said. “All I can say to you all is, if you have a heart, use your heart to love somebody,” he said. “And if your heart is big enough, use your heart to love everybody.” It was a wonderful thought on a night that turned out to be quite historic, indeed. But if we could do what Wonder was asking, wouldn’t we all make history? Brian McTavish

Something surely doesn't seem right... so wait he was found unconscious in his bed but first reports said he was unconscious on the floor... or I must have heard things wrong. [Edited 6/28/09 18:45pm] I watched the DateLine special about MJ earlier tonight. They discussed how the doctor had one arm behind Michael's back on the bed as hard support during his attempt at resuscitation, since Michael's body was "so fragile" he supposedly didn't want to cause further damage. They also said that Michael had begun taking anti-anxiety and sleep-inducing pills because of the stress of those doggone concerts, but did not receive Demerol or Oxycontin before he stopped breathing. I don't know what to believe. A very sad piece of information that was told during this show was that Michael requested that the doctor sit next to him when he was sleeping. They didn't indicate how long the doctor would watch him, but just the thought of that tears me up. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. Party because when I referred to MJ I always thought of the early 80s MJ. To be honest, I considered the MJ I loved dead a for longtime. The MJ I love is as much alive, as he was before Michael actually died.

WaterInYourBath said: Michael clearly retained a child-like mentality, but he also never seemed to want to grow older physically either, and was desperately trying to preserve a youthful face, body, and movement, all the while unknowingly harming himself. Because of the pressure from all those people, I don't think he could really imagine himself being older, like at 70 or 80 years old, 'cause I've heard him say he did not want to go out like James Brown, i.e. not really being able to perform physically anymore but still doing it anyway for the public. I don't know. Prescriptions or not, his daily stress was damaging him. I will never believe he committed suicide though.
Man.....If he had declared that he would never dance again, I would have been perfectly fine with that. I didn't want him to do anymore "Moonwalker Michael Jackson" shows anyway. In these recent years, I've just wanted him to be happy, comfortable, healthy, sing when he wanted to, and I only still strongly desired to hear him just talk every once-in-awhile. I'm really missing his speaking voice and incredible intelligence. I just have to say, this is so bad. Watching all these shows man....MJ is so special, and it's even harder for me 'cause I knew that WAY BEFORE this happened. Forget the entertainment, I'm talking about the person, since there are PLENTY of excellent performers and "leaders" who are/were horrid and cruel people. I can't stand it when incredible spirits like MJ are not appreciated when they are alive. Many people hate them, and many others "love" them for the WRONG reasons (greed, selfishness, thievery, lust, etc), which causes the person to be emotionally troubled, withdraw from EVERYONE, and end tragically like Michael. So not fair..... beautifully said. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

TWO OLDEST KIDS NOT FATHERED BY MICHAEL JACKSON: EX-WIFE
'I DON'T WANT THESE CHILDREN IN MY LIFE' By ANDY GELLER Debbie Rowe Michael Jackson PollView ResultsPosted: 10:14 pm June 28, 2009 Michael Jackson is not the father of his two oldest kids, says their mom, Debbie Rowe. In an interview at her California ranch, Rowe -- mother of "Prince" Michael Joseph, 12, and Paris Michael Katherine, 11 -- said she was artificially inseminated by an anonymous donor. And she said she does not want custody of the kids. "I know I will never see them again," she said. "I don't want these children in my life." Rowe, who was speaking to Britain's News of the World, repeated comments she made during a custody battle in 2004. Jackson and Rowe, 50, were married in November 1996. Three months later, he announced he was expecting his first child with Rowe, a receptionist at a Beverly Hills clinic where he got skin treatments. "Michael was divorced, lonely and wanted children. I was the one who said to him, 'I will have your babies,' " Rowe told The News of the World. "I offered him my womb -- it was a gift." But Rowe said Jackson ditched her after Paris was born because the painful second birth left her "all torn up inside" and unable to have more kids. The couple divorced after three years. http://www.nypost.com/sev...176586.htm I don't understand why she waited until now to say this... she should have kept that to herself

REVEALED: THE JACKO AUTOPSY
NEEDLE MARKS, PILLS - AND A NEARLY BALD HEAD By LACHLAN CARTWRIGHT in LA and DAVID K. L I in New York SAD SONG: Michael Jackson's body is transported to the LA coroner Thursday. Mom Katherine picks up supplies for the family at an LA Target Saturday. Michael Jackson PollView ResultsLast updated: 10:19 am June 29, 2009 Posted: 3:53 am June 29, 2009 An autopsy on Michael Jackson revealed that the King of Pop's emaciated body was riddled with needle marks and scars, and his head was virtually bald, it was reported today. Jackson's body had wasted away to a mere 112 pounds, and his stomach was completely empty except for partially dissolved pills, according to the London Sun. His hips, thighs and shoulders were covered with needle wounds, believed to have come from shots of painkillers, and he was wearing a wig when he was found because his hair had been reduced to a "peach fuzz" on his scalp, the report said. "He was skin and bone, his hair had fallen out, and he had been eating nothing but pills when he died," a source close to the singer's entourage told the paper. "Injection marks all over his body and the disfigurement caused by years of plastic surgery show he'd been in terminal decline for some years." There were four fresh injections around his heart, presumably from attempts to pump adrenaline into it to jumpstart it, the paper said. Three of them had penetrated and damaged his heart wall, while a fourth struck his ribs, the paper reported. He also sustained several broken ribs while authorities administered CPR during his final moments Thursday. Jackson had one spot above his left ear that was scarred and completely bald -- the apparent result of burns sustained when his hair caught fire while he was filming a Pepsi commercial in 1984. He also had numerous other scars, apparently from plastic surgery. In addition, he had mysterious bruises on his knees and shins and cuts on his back, possibly indicating a recent fall, the paper said. http://www.nypost.com/sev...176705.htm
