Looks like it's official: no tour for Australia and Japan

Our reader Joseph from Sydney contacted LiveNation about Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Tour in Japan and Australia.

Here is the response from Live Nation:

"Hello Joseph,and thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately,there is no plan for Madonna to play either Japan or Australia this time out.The tour schedule is Europe and North America,and has been set".

I saw that Live Nation statement (no Japan or Oz) over on DM. There are people in the forums there insisting she's about to announce South American dates. Yet her promoter says she's not going anywhere other than Europe and N.A.

Unfortunately I didn't create any of these, I just stole them to share with others! Thanks to everyone who took the time to make these!

I mean, the connection with these scalpers is bad enough, but the fact that she is playing such a limited number of shows makes it very apparent that she is mostly interested in getting paid and not pleasing and entertaining fans. I hate the touted around term elitist (which conservatives, who are hardly proletariat, through around along with other loaded terms) but she is.

I'm disappointed with her itinerary too.I just don't see why it's so hard for her to do a "real" tour that doesn't skip any important cities or areas.There is absolutely no excuse for her to skip Australia,especially since she recently hinted that she would play there I'm happy that she never skips my area,but I do feel bad for the fans that she is neglecting.

Well, obviously there is an excuse to leave out Australia! It's Australia, the other side of the world, for christ's sake... it's not exactly on the road from Europe to the US... so obviously it doesn't make much sense to move the whole production there for only like 3 shows!

There is less excuse to leave out Detroit though, since it isn't really a detour on the travel route, but then again, where is the problem with people wanting to see her going to Chicago instead?! Obviously it's bad that she leaves out some areas, but at least she's touring near by! If it's really important to see her, anyone can go see her!

Detroit is her hometown (as you said) she could sell it out easily (did twice a few years back) and I count myself among the fans who would gladly pay $100 or so dollars for a decent ticket, but to haul ass to spend time in Chicago (as great as it probably is) probably not in the budget of someone that is going to school! I'm at the point that I really don't dislike her as a person!

Apples, is there supposed to be a second leg? It's not her style to do long tours...if she was going to play Detroit, I assume she would slip it in when playing Chicago or Canada. Take a look. There are four day gaps in between both. Not hoping for anything (if it was meant to be, she would have announced it). Looks like the old hoe would rather sit and count her money rather than play one more show! Best part is, if she did, it would be around my birthday (its Oct 27th but she doesn't do back to back from different cities...it would most likely be on the 24th or 28th....). What an old...you know.

There are 15 thousand (or whatever the number of people the Palace holds) that really want to see her and spend money on her. All we ask is that she does some hits, even though she will likely spend most of the time doing stuff from the new album....

And for all the people with the Chicago stuff, what the fuck is with her playing every town in New Jersey twice. Before she was British, that was a Detroit accent....Madonna is not a Jersey girl!
